Yah. I know it was going to be close if Schlemko got taken. But I also want to get rid of Ward is because he is pretty much wasted cap space right now. He is still a good player but he is way too slow on an already slow team. I want him gone and hopefully give one of the kids a real chance in the bottom-6. Even at 50% retention, it gives us some cushion and opens up a spot for a kid.

Agreed, getting rid of Ward would be a good idea regardless. Especially since DeBoer probably still thinks he's a top six forward and will continue giving him those opportunities.

Mirco Mueller, noted stinky dman playing in the AHL is worth a 2nd and 4th.
David Schlemko, solid puck moving dman playing in NHL on a reasonable contract is worth a 5th way in the future.
Griffin Reinhart, noted stinky dman playing in the AHL is worth a 1st and a 2nd.

Man does draft pedigree mean way too ****ing much. Reinhart and Mueller are trash compared to Schlemko.
