Thoughts?

No here. I'd rather keep Martin as Burns partner, than an unknown. It's not like Martin is a pylon or anything he's just old. we just acquired Hansen and I think he could thrive here, not to mention wanting to keep our 1st

Not to mention there's nothing exciting in that Minnesota package

We clear a bit of cap, Martin serves as a buffer for Olofsson/Reilly being handed top 4 minutes on our club.

On your side, giving up the 1st rounder is probably pretty tough to do, but you guys reset the age clock on one of your top 4 LD going from 36 year old Martin to 27 year old Scandella (3 more years at $4m per) and upgrade from Hansen to Pominville (yes, I believe it's an upgrade).

Although 6 is too much. If they retained a mil or two I'd take eberle. I know some on this board don't like him, but he's a much better scorer than Boedker, so if we could get him at boedker's cap I'd be fine with it. Depending on the assets sent to EDM of course.

I was more lining up the 27 year old top 4 defenseman with the 1st rounder, but I can see how that could be overlooked when Pominville's name is involved.

I think Lebanc could be the second coming of Pavelski, not an asset I would trade. Kind of like other folks felt about Goldobin, but has actually done something at the NHL level.

Anyone else get the feeling that Wilson is going to pull off a big trade or 2 on draft night? Not talking with Vegas to take one of our older forwards, but for someone big we haven't been linked with. I also have a feeling we are moving up big time in the draft.
