Yeah but as a rental, you're not terribly concerned about that as long as he's healthy when you get him. But it would behoove people to know that you shouldn't expect him to produce anything. If we get him, it's basically to make the 3rd line a shutdown line. Not something I'd personally go with but also not to expect much in way of offense either.

I think if anything, take a shot on Vrbata. He'll be interested in going to a playoff team given his contract. He's already getting 500k in bonuses for games played. He's going to get another 500k when he hits 40 points. Then there's another potential 1.25 mil in playoff bonuses but it's unknown what those are. Not sure what the asking price for Vrbata would be but he'd be perfect given the Sharks' cap situation. They wouldn't have to trade much. Pretty much any contract would fit.

DW has been rumored to be interested in Vrbata in the past.

Yup and I think it was Vrbata who declined to come here so hopefully with good playoff prospects, he's in a spot where it makes sense for him to take his shot at more playoff bonus money here.

And this is why I have pulled way back from posting to this forum. I grew up a Boston fan and was a fan of Joe Thornton before I was a fan of the Sharks. It's this type of constant mis-representation of the things I have said that make me think it's not worth posting here any more.

You were one of the only people in the entire universe who questioned if the Sharks won the deal at the time. I even gave you credit for your skepticism in 2009. You questioned Thornton on the team even after that, saying you'd like the Sharks to move him and rebuild, as with the Heatley acquisition, they wouldn't make the playoffs.

I think wingels is suffering from his paycheck. Makes way too much to just be a 4th liner.

Hes almost matched last seasons 5v5 goal total though.

I wonder why Dallas only has Seguin and Benn on that chart.

I think we might have the lowest number of shooters in the league other than Vancouver.

#Leafs: Makes sense, but will crash HF for months.
#NYR: I think everyone says that at one point in their career.
#Bruins: If NYR doesn't work out.
#RedWings: Must just like their jerseys or something.
#SJSharks: Awww yeah…

#NHLDucks: I don't think I've ever seen a player say they want to be on the Ducks. That's just weird.
#Avs: Go back to where it started. Settle down, have a few kids, play some low stakes hockey.

Logan somehow looked like even more of a ********* as a kid.

I'd much rather have another forward (Sharp, Vrbata, even Hudler) than Shattenkirk.
