Goodrow-Tierney-Zubrus/Brown is still not all that appealing and it's not so much because of Goodrow and Tierney. lol

Tierney has had a rough year, but I'm totally confident he rebounds. Goodrow, well I feel like we all have a pretty good idea of his upside. I do think he can be an effective 3rd liner. Worst case is that he's a career minor leaguer. I personally have him pegged as 3rd/4th line tweener, but a good energy player. I'm a fan of him though, unlike other (what seems to be many) Sharks fans.

Has a bottom-6er ever stayed with the Sharks for a decade? For a half-decade, even? Maybe Mike Ricci...who wasn't really a bottom-6er in his first few SJ years.

He's young and has perfectly reasonable 3rd or 4th line upside. I don't think it's totally outlandish to suggest he could be a fixture in our bottom six long term. :dunno:

Curtis Pashelka confirms that Smith is still on (LT)IR:

From his Merc article this morning:
Smith was on loan from the Sharks on a conditioning assignment after he missed 19 consecutive games dealing with concussion symptoms. He remains on injured reserve

Logan only played 5 games so far in this
regular season... would have been preferable to get some LTIR in there somewhere due to the cap problem.

Not sure what you're trying to say. He was on LTIR while injured with the leg break and you don't bank CAP space while a player is on LTIR.

He was on LTIR for much of his time with the broken leg. You don't bank that space.

Apparently Tennyson is w/ the SJB...I'm assuming it's a conditioning assignment since he wasn't put on waivers.

Eric Lindquist @barracudavoice

You would be right about the conditioning stint.

Sounds like Tierney has been sent to the SJB. I sure hope this is just to get him into a couple of games and/or for cap reasons (cap seems likely).

Stalock is going to the AHL too, likely on a 'conditioning' assign., Grosenick has been recalled.

Hope stalock stays for good.

Tierney is our best option to center our fourth line. The only logical reason to sent him down is CAP reasons. Or there is some trade coming.

Here's the team announcement on todays moves:

San Jose Sharks @SanJoseSharks
#SJSharks recall Grosenick, reassign Stalock & Tierney to @sjbarracuda. Stalock assigned on conditioning assignment

One of Tierney, Donskoi or DeMelo had to go down to make room for Grosenick.

However long the Sharks want to leave Stalock in the AHL one of those guys will have to be there with him to make it work cap wise.

I'd guess they're both back with the big club by Thursday. Or maybe they want Brown back in the line up and they leave Tierney down there and move Zubrus to 4C.
