Portland down 2-0 after 2 periods. Not much more to report on Cagnoni. He had a few shots that never made it to the net. He stick checks and redirects guys on d ok but he's not physical at all.

Still want to strangle the meathead Bros behind me.

He's from Burnaby, bc. It's a suburb of Vancouver.

Pros: home of Joe Sakic, Michael J Fox, Cliff Ronning, Glenn Anderson, Christine Sinclair, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Michael Buble.

Cons: home of EA's canadian campus and thus is associated with EA. Home of Jason LaBarbera, Gregor Zanon, and Karl Alzner.

So jury's out on if it's points in his favor or not.

I much prefer Langley BC.

Home of uh errr well-known hothead Brett Lawrie?

And home of you, Nem, moderator of men and leader of the Sharks Honda Center Bus Trip.

I mean that last one wasn't me. That was Doug (I believe he went by North Bay Sharks Fan?). But if you wanna give me the credit I'll take it. :P

Also Langley is the home of Shea Theodore and... uhh.... Danton Heinen? We don't have much. We're a cowboy hick town. Seriously, there's like 4 different horse boarders with riding rings on my street.

Also also fun fact: After his super hype late-season rookie debut I went and got a Brett Lawrie jersey. An authentic one to boot because I wanted the embroidered logo instead of the cheap plastic patch. It ended up being one of my poorer investments

Anyway, I don't have much to add about Cagnoni that I didn't say after the first two periods. He moves well, makes strong passes including a really awesome breakout pass from the faceoff dots in his own zone to the opposing blueline but he's going to have to get stronger to handle the greater physical demands of pro hockey.

Portland lost tonight but they'll be right back at it tomorrow on the back half of a home-and-home against the Giants. That'll be a TV/webcast game for me.

Langley is the worst. I’d rather live in Delta or Coquitlam.

When the massive earthquake eventually hits Delta is going to sink into the Pacific right alongside Richmond. So good luck with that. Coquitlam isn't bad but it also desperately wants to be Maple Ridge even though nobody wants to be Maple Ridge, not even Maple Ridge.

His HFboards name was Wine Shark. Those bus trips to Anaheim were a lot of fun. I went on all 3 of them. Does anyone know what happened to that poster?
wine shark was a different poster. I have his contact info in my phone and it's tagged as "nbsf" though i Think He eventually changed it to something else. SonomaShark or something like that?

EDIT: When I say "his" I should be clear that I mean the bus trip guy.

Not a great weekend for our top prospects so far.

Musty had a goal and was -1 in a 5-4 loss, then sat out the next game. Wolves have another game in 12 hours.

Halttunen was a -2 in an 8-2 loss and had an assist and a +1 in a 5-2 win.

We all know what Cagnoni did or didn’t do last night, tonight he found his touch again, 1G, 2A, +2, 2nd star in a 8-3 win.

Fresh Prince with a primary (!!!) assist in a 5-1 win, will play again in 12 hours.

I could've touched up the color and some of the blurriness but that would've taken more time.

Edit: and now they're broken?

geez, HF needs to get its crap together with images.

watching the replay for the BC game. Smith had a plus game besides the points. looks like they've started putting Smith out for the last ~30 seconds of PKs or i guess the 4th PK shift. tertiary assist on that first Leonard goal. he's a menace on the PP with his deception. robbed twice in the 2nd. making like 1 bad/meh pass for every 7 good/great pass.

i like the defense and pace for the most part in that he's more on top of where the puck is going in the defensive zone. would still like to see a bit of a higher work rate in terms of attacking the puck/carrier with a little more hustle but i think it's starting to come along.

He was definitely getting jiggy with it.
