Dorion is teflon, weasels his way out of another mess.
Come on now you can't blame Dorion if a player does something that he knows is against the rule, that's on the player. Pinto knew better it's on him, he's a young man he just learned a valuable lesson. But in reality Pinto screwed the Sens with his stupidity. Good job Shane!!!

This guy must have done something really f***ed to not only get the first sports gambling suspension in league history but also to merit 41 f***ing games. They wouldn't throw the book at someone for placing a couple of prop bets on Sunday Night Football.

Fairly sure you're allowed to bet on other sports under the NHL CBA. Would happily be corrected if I'm wrong though.

I'm very curious because things don't add up.

If he was betting on NHL games, 41 games is light. I'd expect an "indefinite" ban on that.
But betting on other sports is not "against" the rules.

Was he betting on dogfighting? Was he betting with an illegal bookie? Is he running a book?

Fascinating.

Also suspension to start at the beginning of the season, and Dec 1. deadline waived. Isn't this pretty much league sponsored cap circumvention

Ok, well, I guess I'll eat some crow and say Dorion probably didn't screw up and us in this cap mess and not leave enough room for Pinto, he likely knew something was coming ....

Yeah there's some crucial info being left out atm. Doesn't add up at all at face value
