The Senators staff have absolutely failed Pinto.

It'd be one thing if he came back and got clocked into the boards again. Both times he came back he reaggravated the injury with basic movements.

All players always want to come back early. That's their job. It's the organizations job to stop them
It happens all the time in any major sport. Look at the NFL where the Gronk came back after being off 4 games and re aggravated his injury on a nothing play and was out an additional month. It happens.

Ya people need to stop trying to find someone to blame. It’s pro sports, injuries happen.

None of us know BUT it looks really bad.
This needs to be taken super seriously. One of our top players career is on the line.

From where I’m sitting they f***ed up big time.
Might be the biggest blunder of the season and that's saying something.

After some intense rehab, I hope Pinto is able to make it in time for a Belleville playoff run. He needs to finish the season on a high getting key experience on a winning culture Troy Mann Helen is trying to establish. Might be a blessing by chance, instead of being around the current shitshow involving the big team.

Was nice of them to share this info with us a week later.

It’s private medical information everyone knows he is gone for months. I am not sure why it matters
it’s not our business on what days this guy goes to what doctor or hospital.
Being a fan does not make him yours, demanding real time tracking of his life isn’t reasonable

LOL....... We basically heard nothing about it from time he was re-injured. Is very common for teams to share that the player underwent surgery.

Would be a great idea to consider getting Timmy / Pinto some time with Belleville if there's a playoff run.

Only in sports do people feel entitled to know someone's medical situation. Honestly, what difference does it make if they told you last week or this week?

Every other team that isn't Ottawa will let you know if a player had a surgery the day of or day after at the latest. Nobody is asking what days he is seeing a doctor or for his xrays or anything invasive. Its clear he had a shoulder injury and the time he is going to miss will depend on the treatment he receives. Fans devote time and money into teams its courtesy to let us know how long players should be out, yes a courtesy and since we aren't really respected by this team its evident they don't really care about supplying that courtesy.

Other reasons fans might want to know is they generally care about the player, or they are participating in fantasy sports / gambling that is sponsered with the league or soon to be.

tldr, No one is asking if Pinto has an embarrassing STD, just if he got a surgery which was up in the air.

Honestly it’s like they’re not aware that all major sports in North America do this.

It was reported already he needed surgery and might miss the season. So it's not like people don't know he is out long term.

Do you think you are entitled to know everything that goes on? Did they tell the public how long Batherson was going to be out or how long Murray will be in Belleville?

This is a big old pile of nonsense. What exactly changes whether you find out last week or this week? You care about the player? So you could have cared more if only you'd known last week? He'll be out until March/April at the earliest, how does finding out about the surgery this week impact anything you need to know about the player in any way, shape or form?

You have an axe to grind, clearly. That's the only reason this is of any consequence whatsoever.

tl;dr: no reasonable person needs to know as soon as possible whether an athlete has had surgery or their medical condition.

Clearly, the org felt like they might catch some heat with the Pinto injury as many have suggested that he should never have been medically cleared to play. So instead of being up front about the Pinto injury, they have chosen to hide from any possible negative media coverage.

I wouldn't actually say that's clear at all. In fact it's more wild speculation than being clear.

Murray doesn't know how long Murray will be in Belleville. Lol.
