Playoff series aren't a 50/50 coin flip, they're a best-of-seven matchup versus two hockey teams.

The Leafs have now lost 6 of those in a row, including a play-in series to qualify for the real playoffs.

They're also 0-9 in elimination games over the past 5 years, so actually it seems like they're playing with a double-head loser coin in that regard.

I think only Calgary is doing that for the respect one. I don't know about the Rangers, but not in Toronto. We are in the winning business not the respect business.

Watching regular season games is fine. The Leafs are a very good regular season team. It’s when the “real” season starts, ie the playoffs, that the Leafs fold when it matters the most.

So far we are the only team to take the lightning to 7 games. We have a great team, I m proud of them. SUCKS we played Tampa 1sr round but oh well. I’d rather be happy for 6 months than read another loss we suck gdt. Sure winning the -layoffs would ne sweet but we aren’t far off.

Actually further to my previous post, I’d actually support video review for penalty calls in the 3rd period or OT during the playoffs. Gotta get them right because late they can swing the entire game. Goal review can be long at times because of camera angles and discerning the puck from pads, is it over the line completely, puck in the air vs along the ice complicates determining that etc etc. Really shouldn’t be more than 20-30 seconds to review a penalty call imo. Like the objective ones like hooking, tripping, high sticking etc and there shouldn’t be that many based on the standard they usually call the playoffs by anyway. And tons of cameras

If we review them all, Nick Paul doesn't get a penalty for diving, and Toronto is short-handed earlier in the game. It usually evens out in the end.

I remember after the last five 1st round / play-in losses, certain Leafs fans were up on their soapboxes proclaiming that playoff hockey needed to change and that the league needed to start calling the game like the regular season with all the usual penalties you see there...

These same fans are now upset that they're starting to get their wish, complete with all the errors you get with that system, and now what do they want?

Video-review for literally every micro-play that occurs on the ice.

Maybe that's why the refs put their whistles away in the first place, so you wouldn't need to rely too much on a very error-prone system of reffing, which obviously will deeply upset fans of the losing side.
