the problem is that if it were leafs players mugging or elbowing the panthers we know there would be supplemental discipline.… because Bunting already faced supplemental discipline for an elbow no worse than Thachuk.

The leafs know that not only do they have the second best goaltender in the series but that it’s open season on their players with the refs standing by just looking for retaliation.

if the uniforms were switched the leafs would have two hearings right now.

Helly is the best goalie that will/should be available this summer. Unfortunately, I don't think we'd be interested in what it would cost so he probably goes to L.A.

If Knies is out long term Leafs should go back to 11-7 and separate Matthews and Marner. We clinched with Matthews and Marner on different lines, don’t know why they’re back together for this series. That’s on Keefe.

11-7 would also allow Gio to have his minutes cut back and be sheltered. Dude should outright sit but I’ll take any measure that sees his ice time go down.
