When you play that well for 55+ minutes, you have to win. There's no excuse for that loss.

Be like Tampa and play like that the rest of the series and make them beat the best version of you. No way Bob does that the rest of the series.
I get what you are saying, but Bobrovsky can absolutely do this again for another two wins. When he decides to turn it up, he is the best goalie in the world and people are seeing that now.

These past two games really showed the boys are too excited and careless at the same time.

They really didn’t have the intensity from the TB series. They are not getting shots from the point and creating traffic in front of the net. They are playing for the cheers from Big Hits.

Also I think they got complacent with the extra space they are getting.

They better switch their mentality and play better or else it will be a quick series and the end of season presser will be the same as before, their faces in shock and being clueless.

I Beleaf in them and think they will win 4 straight.

The only good news is that the Panthers look beatable and they gave the Leafs plenty of chances to score on them and they couldn't capitalize. These past two games the Leafs beat themselves just as much as the Panthers beat them.

they were f***ing partying after winning one series getting beers in teh locker room. that was a loser mentality to begin with.

alcohol stays in your blood stream for a good while impacting your endurance, energy levels, recovery and what not.

the money that MLSE spends on sports science is f***ing flushed down the toilet or they are jsut content with 1 series win

Not gonna lie.. hearing about the big hoopla for getting out of the first was a bit cringe.

I have a few question.

How many games did we lose at home in the first round?

How many games did we lose on the road in the first round?

How did the win loss pattern for NJ NYR last week?

Is this entire board made up of 15 years that play 6 hours of EA Sports Franchise Mode per day?

If you think about what the absolute worse case scenario heading into the playoffs, it wasn’t losing in rd 1. It was getting swept in rd 2 after beating a Tampa team with no Hedman half the series and no cernak and shanahan extending dubas because of one god d*mn series win…

As I said between the 2nd and 3rd: "Our idiotic mistakes + Bobrovsky = we lose. One of the two has to change for us to win this game and the series."

If Bob becomes mortal or we just stop making idiotic plays, we can come back and win this series. just one. Please.

I've just watched them act out the exact opposite plot with the Tampa Bay Lightning, so are we or are we not spiritually pinned to a paradigm here

Toronto has lost series in which they were the better team, and in which they were complete ass. The great unifier is that they've lost. The manners have been captivatingly diverse.
Difference is now point muffin shots aren’t going in and their “skill” is coming up short yet again. This happens everytime. The core 4 coming up short.

Says the "Leafs & Kings" fan from Winnipeg who almost always only shows up here after a Leafs loss. Most other fans on the negative side don't bother me because they always post, but I will always consider you a troll and a fraud.
What can I say, I actually have a life outside of posting on a forum 24/7.

On the bright side, one loss closer to dubas being fired and this team getting a well deserved blow up

Hate to interrupt the collective hissy fit, but this is hockey. Playoff hockey at that. Most of the time the team that wins is the one that gets better goaltending, capitalizes on their scoring opportunities, and gets more favourable bounces. Thats it. Florida has checked just enough of those boxes to eek out wins in the first two games.

The result is all that matters and the results are hard to stomach. But not much would have to have gone differently in these 2 games for us to be up 2-0.

Has everyone's balls fallen off or something? Terrible? Shameful? Tear it down? At our best we were skating circles around them and at our worst we played even. Puck didn't go in the net. Take a walk. There are mental wards less histrionic than this place.
Panthers were managing the clock. Same thing Tampa did... But they got unlucky doing so. Plain and simple is the odds of Leafs coming back in every single game of the playoffs was unlikely. It was unlikely in round one, but they did. Its what knowledgable posters were trying to point out in the first round. But we're shot down for doing so.

Nylander looked incredible... Otherwise Panthers pretty effectively shut down the rest of the team and got what they wanted.

Florida is amazing and Bob is playing incredible right now. but we gotta not let in these stinkers and hold onto our leads.
good on Florida for going up 2-0 good teams find ways to win
