nonsense. they've come back from 3-1 twice
And then game 7 happened both times choked leafs

4-1 vs 4-3 in the third

Take your pick, they had it all. Choking chances, seive goals, defensive breakdowns

If Bennett is in game three and Knies isn't it will be further proof that the Leafs are being deliberately screwed by the League.
If there was no penalty on the play, doubt he gets suspended
Knies probably taken off for precautionary measures

We have seen this play for quite some years

Andersen makes good saves lets in stinker when save is needed
Campbell makes goods saves lets in stinker when save is needed
Samsanov makes good saves lets in stinker when save is needed

Dubas biggest downfall since he took over is goaltending

At least keefe and dubas will be gone

Florida did turn it on late in the season to beat out a team like Pittsburgh for that spot too. They didn't glide in, they had to come back after a poor start to the season.

And have some key players from their President's trophy winning team last year. Let's not forget that.

That being said they're play is not exactly awe inspiring .. they're letting the Leafs' beat themselves while also happily enjoying some nice luck

It's amazing how such a great team can get goalied so many times. Yet the great GM can't seem to acquire a goalie capable of "goalieing" someone else, despite how easy they seem to be to find.

Something just doesn't add up with this logic.

Agreed. The one goal Samsonov allowed was a bit weak but he was hardly the cause of the loss and he stopped a clear breakaway in the third. Bob was good, but the Leafs also hit like 4 posts and 2 crossbars so... also very lucky.

The truth is that the Leafs were dominating this game and then gave it away with lackadaisical plays that cost them their momentum and the game. Often they simply REFUSE to make the simple play and chip a puck out of their zone for fear of losing possession. I don't know why, because they just lose it in a worse position 50% of the time by holding onto it.

When the Leafs lost to Tampa in game 1, I wasn't concerned. They clearly weren't ready.

When the Leafs lost to Florida in game 1, I was concerned. They Leafs played the game they wanted to and the mistakes and bad habits we saw all season is what cost them.

Game 2 was just validation.

they were f***ing partying after winning one series getting beers in teh locker room. that was a loser mentality to begin with.

alcohol stays in your blood stream for a good while impacting your endurance, energy levels, recovery and what not.

the money that MLSE spends on sports science is f***ing flushed down the toilet or they are jsut content with 1 series win

There is no guarantee that they will be gone.

You can disagree all you want but we needed 1 goal during the last 30+ minutes of play and all 4 came up empty - the same 4 who make $40M+ a year.
Yeah, but 3 of them were creating chances.

The other did nothing but turn the puck over all night, blow a tire at a really critical f***ing time, get in the way, slow down momentum, was 2 seconds behind on everything, and drag his linemates down as he usually does.

I really don't care where the guy is from, or how he ended up on this team, he's a waste of 11 mil.

There’s nothing different in our goaltending this year compared to the last 6 years

Each and everyone of those goalies have done the same thing, we would’ve won round 1 in exactly 6 games with all of them

Samsonov is nothing different.

Funnily enough dubas has tried some different options. The established 1-A looking to take the starter jump in Andersen. The back-up out of seemingly nowhere approach with Campbell. The reclamation project in Samsonov, and even the “proven” winner in Murray. I won’t even mention the tank commander mrazek. All have failed

Maybe he should invest Nylander’s money into a stud goalie

You aren’t a new fan seeing you’ve been on here since 2012

The leafs dominating and not winning is not new. If series wins and losses could have their own series, the leafs are 3-0 when dominating like this. We are getting ready for the sweep of series losses when dominating

I've just watched them act out the exact opposite plot with the Tampa Bay Lightning, so are we or are we not spiritually pinned to a paradigm here

Toronto has lost series in which they were the better team, and in which they were complete ass. The great unifier is that they've lost. The manners have been captivatingly diverse.

Leafs seemed to have burned all their luck in Round 1.

Now time to dig in and get some dirty goals and find a way to win
