So much ruck marching... feet are pretty badly blistered, surprisingly.

We did alot of that in the Army. In fact I recall I went in Aug 29th so I was there about the same time as you, albeit in Ft Jackson, SC. I neverhad any issues with the ruck marching and I think if you keep some dress socks on inside your regular socks you should be fine. Too bad you're already blistered though :(

Frost and Lynch are behind it and the plan seems to for the story to pick up where it left off

25 years later

I think it's supposed to air in 2016

Working on a mine site in Central Newfoundland, forgot my laptop cord at my Parents house in Mount Pearl (St. John's). Haven't been able to do much work since Monday, and piling up cell phone bill.

I need a beer....

How far did you march and how much does the ruck weigh?

Also, it appears that i just hurt my back while doing the dishes.

Well then you gotta start doing those dishes w/ a ruck on!

No srsly I feel your pain. Being a tall guy I frequently have to deal with surfaces that were designed for a shorter stature. The kitchen sink is way too low and i'm always bending my back to reach. I try and jerk back into a chest-sticking-out position but I always slip back to where i'm leaning over the sink.

I need to find a new way to eat rice. I cannot have soy sauce anymore. That was the best part of the rice.

Coconut oil, salt, garlic.

Or just toss some in the slow cooker with whatever meat you're cooking near the end.

Always have a pair of nylons underneath my wools. That wasn't the issue, it was more to do with the weight, I think. I usually don't get blisters on ruck marches.

Did 8k yesterday, most of it uphill, and 5k today. Ruck weighed about 50lbs for the 8km march. I'm a slender guy, not used to carrying that weight on top of the thirty or so pounds for your protective kit. Hadn't had a problem with blisters on previous marches, just get sore shoulders.

Dropped down to forty pounds for today's ruck. Going to drop another five for tomorrow, I think.

Chicken fried rice with that red sauce from Chinese restaurants is the bomb sauce

I just cover my rice in whatever hot sauce I have, but the Sriracha (red chinese hot sauce with a roster on it) is awesome on rice. Add a bit of cheese and maybe some cherry tomatoes and other veg, yum...

Sticky rice is pretty yummee. T & T is a good place to get it.

Also, persian rice is awesome (they'd be horrified if you told them you put ketchup on your rice!), but you need to find a good persian restaurant first. Saffron (sp?) on Rideau street is (was?) ok-ish, but I haven't been there in years.
