I really despise Baton Rouge. Been there twice and each time the servers were jerks and the food was passable and overpriced. Maybe I just got unlucky. What do people see in the place?

When it first opened, their prime rib was really, really good. It's hard to find a place that does prime rib properly, and they're one of the few who do it dependably. Biftheque did it better (amaaaaaaazing prime rib), but they're closed.

also: I never had bad staff issues there before.

Can't say how it is now though, as I haven't been there in at least 2 years.

You must have had a bad night...

I can't speak for others but I've been there a handful of times and the service has always been pretty good. The food is average. Not bad, not great but you know that when you decide to eat at a chain restaurant.

I really like their chicken fingers.

I can believe that I just got unlucky. Didn't help that one instance was my brother's birthday and they did a good job of adding a little unpleasantness to an otherwise happy occasion. I remember the waiter having a bit of an attitude for some reason and our food taking forever to get there. We were certainly not being pushy or overly demanding. Attitude just seemed like a poorly thought out schtick of his. It's all very ill defined but the impression of that coupled with that one other time that I was less than thrilled with my experience (I think that time was probably just me being disappointed at the hype) has been enough to put me off the place.

I went to Bite the other day since there was a bit of a discussion about burgers, it was recommended and I work right next to it

It was excellent and the chili was also very nice but it was pretty expensive

I still think Chez Lucien offers the best bang for your buck on burgers in town however

Speaking of food...El Camino on Elgin....that's the bees knees baby.

Amazing food. And it's always packed but I love how they take your number and text you when you're table is ready. I was able to have a pint at the Pump while waiting for my table.

If anyone is ever thinking of coming to Cornwall, and I don't necessarily recommend it, the place to be is Schnitzel's. Had an amazing half-rack with a Guiness glaze there a couple weeks ago that was gorgeous. Stone baked pizza. Wash it down with a pint of Erdinger. Great atmosphere. Laughing I tells ya.

A bunch of my family still lives in Cornwall, I was born there, everytime I go back I go to Riverside Pizza. It's my favorite pizza.

It's not as good as it used to be (15 years ago or so) because I think they changed their pepperoni, but it's still better than most places in Ottawa.

Tried Louis' Pizza last time and that was some real good pizza also. Cornwall has the pizza market down.

I've done this a few times. I love the ox tongue. I always don't want to wait for the table though, I just get too damn hungry. It's totally worth it though.

I've said this before, but Pour Boy on Somerset has an amazing burger and it's so cheap there. I had a blue cheese and bacon burger there last weak that was amazing, for about 8 bucks with a salad.

It is pretty good at Riverside for sure. Greastastic and I like that from time to time.

I haven't tried Louis' yet though. I'm a relatively recent implant.

Riley's Bakery still has those massive and delicious smoked meat sandwiches for like $5 though. Great deal.

There's definitely some things I really like about this town.

Ween is so funny. Haven't made much of effort to get into them yet, but what little I have heard has been pretty good. Very 'out there', creative.

I have neither of those things but now I'm hungry for bananas.

I've been meaning to try Pour Boy. Looks like you just decided my dinner plans for me!
