How the frig do you fix the window size of the site on an iPhone. Somehow made it zoom all the way out and now it’s basically the same as desktop.

Toss it in the trash and buy an android phone. :)

But seriously, tried the three finger double tap? I hate Apple

Did you request the desktop version of the site? Try opening it in a new tab?

Zoom is an accessibility function, I think it's in settings but I'm on android so I can't confirm right now,

I have no clue.

I’m using 2 separate phones now, one where it looks like this because I did something stupid:

I watched graham Hancock’s show on Netflix. It’s like pseudo archaeology conspiracy stuff. Which I like I find interesting.

Then I watched realmeducated archaelogists debunk his stuff….and man. You realize how little we f***ing know lol. Like we are so primed to beleive conspiracy theories cuz we legit know absolutely nothing.

And I always ask myself like why don’t real professionals ever debate these conspiracy theorists and whatever. It’s because the shit they say is literally too dumb to even debate and it’s not worth someone’s time to go out and do it.

Like the difference between a fringe conspiracy persons explanations of things is always like short and lacking detail but weirdly convincing. And then when someone real debunks it it’s like mountains of evidence and clear thought out explanation and no buzz words and no emotion just like..expertise.

Just funny considering the post-truth world we live in

Obligatory to post that on a Sens site when someone mentions expert.

Honestly I think people are so conditioned to want everything and every answer right away, that they'll take BS at face value rather than research an item to see whether it's the truth. Decades ago the challenge was finding information. Now we have access to so much info, the challenge is finding what information is actually true. And the truth doesn't sell, sensationalism sells.

I completely agree Burrow, that true experts would not want to bother engaging with the pseudo experts. I know whenever I see a youtube video for example on something related to my profession with a clickbait title and ridiculous thumbnail, I'm not going to waste my time to click on it. The format is so unattractive for people with any knowledge that it's an immediate turn off. But ya, I suppose it's unfortunate for those looking for the coles notes versions that take stuff like that at face value.

Click the aA and see if You can set zoom to 100% or if you can "request mobile site"

There's also a website setting where you can toggle an option to always request the desktop version (if you have that toggled on it might explain your problem)

Cheers. Don’t think I’ve ever clicked on the aA before, never even knew what you meant. I must have hit it somehow

It's funny what people consider truth.

How is having a theory of something a "conspiracy theory"? He along with Randal Carlson have a great theory of how we are a species with amnesia.

I think it's fun.

Which video did you watch debunking him?

A conspiracy theory is still a theory, it's just not a scientific theory.

I have a theory that you're a bot, and it may be impossible for you to prove me otherwise, it still doesn't make my theory a scientific one, since it's not based on objective facts and observations, it's not testable, and more importantly it is not falsifiable (see Popper).

I haven't seen any of his documentaries, but I do recall reading some quotes from him claiming that mainstream archeologists and/or the media were intentionally suppressing his ideas -- ie conspiring against him.

So that would be the conspiracy.

Brother a good portion of this country believes that Hillary Clinton eats babies in a pizza restaurant’s basement.

You have no idea.

Everyone should watch Q: Into the Storm by the way. Wild shit.

I really don't like when people label things a conspiracy theory.

He has a theory that main stream archeologists disagree with and they attack him and not the theory. The media isn't suppressing him because he has sold millions of books and Netflix gave him a series where he glosses over his ideas.

You can read what people think about him or his theories or just listen to him.

Along with Randall Carlson and his views it makes for a very intriguing debate.

It is a very interesting subject and their ideas are very interesting, that's all.

Conspiracy means:
- a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful.
- the action of plotting or conspiring

If he's suggesting that his ideas are being collectively worked against because of who he is rather than the merit of his ideas... he's theorizing about a conspiracy against him. That's by definition a conspiracy theory.

Sorry you don't like it. But words have meaning.

He states he is attacked by the community not his ideas.

I clipped it.

Miniminuteman is the YouTube channel

Man I think it’s super fun as well. But like..the evidence he comes up with is….not evidence at all. It’s just pseudoscience based on incredibly flimsy logic when faced with real academic scrutiny

Yeah but when you have someone actually “attack” the evidence they present… it’s a bloodbath. And they don’t even bother because its usually not worth their time. Same goes for virologists with covid conspiracy and and vacciens and vax conspiracy theories. Like to us this stuff sounds plausible and all their theories sound super real. But to some who knows… they don’t.

Man I read his big book. It was super cool and super interesting. The evidence simply did not hold up well

I’m sure some do dismiss his ideas and call him a quack. And right there is a trigger for us to be like “hmm if they won’t debate his ideas then they must be hiding something…..”. But in reality it’s like.., elementary for them.

We were flooded with theories. that doesnt mean the official one was the right one.

Miniminuteman was tough to listen too. I think there is a better chance he misquoted Hancock many times in that video than represented what he thinks/says. Context is important and there is none in that video. It's just a guy who in his personal life is probably never wrong.

Then watch the videos that he quotes. But that’s what people like Hancock Do. They’re really good at getting buy in from people totally unfamiliar with the subject. That’s why they make money off this stuff. I watched ancient apocalypse. I read afingerPrints of the gods. I know what Hancock says lol.

Anyway I love that stuff and I hope they find some massive discovery showing proof of Atlantis that would legit make me happy. Just…he doesn’t seem like he’s close.

In fairness Finger prints of the gods is 30 years old. His ideas have changed a long with new findings .He's been on many Joe Rogan episodes and if you watch them in chronological order along with Randall Carlson's episodes you get a complete picture behind their motives. It would be a very long watch but it is extremely interesting.

That Netflix show really doesn't do him justice.

If I have to watch multiple episodes of Joe Rogan to establish the man's position, I'd venture that it's not likely a very good position.
