I'm curious... Who do Prince and Puempel remind you of stylistically compared to current NHL players?

Only one i could think for Puempel was Neal and i couldnt think of one for Prince.
That's tough. Prince is 511. Not exactly small. Very skilled. Can shoot. And skate. Maybe a stronger, taller johnny gaudreau

Hopefully they both end up on the team at some point.

7 rookie forwards on the team at once, virtually the whole posse 25 and under?

That team would get bullied, chased, humiliated, and cowed each and every night, by each and every NHL team in the league.

In real life that is...

He said "at some point". Not right now. Or next year.

Sooner or later. Young players.. Become vets.

Yeah I took that as this year I suppose. Really, I just looked at the roster, considered the players as they are now and shook my head.

I don't look down on it per se, but I just can't seem to pencil in unproven prospects into future lineups anymore. Probably because I have watched the team since the beginning, and every year we seem to have a crop of can't miss guys, most of which end up missing after we've had them scoring 30 on the top line with Spezza.

Out of those 7 guys, I have a feeling that 3 or 4 will stick in the NHL, and only a couple with us when the dust has cleared.

Like Lana, we spray and pray...

Prince I could see as a MacArthur type. Hopefully producing at MacArthur peak levels.
Puempel like sharp?

I can't really think of one for Puempel but I've always thought, and said, that Prince will be similar to Jason Pominville.

Ottawa
Puempel - Michael Ryder
Prince - Matt Calvert

Puempel - Matt Moulson (Less goals, but better defensively)

Prince - Bryan Little (Different position but same type of player)

That's at their peak, but we would be really lucky if either of them panned out like that.

I must admit that I am disappointed with both Peumpel and Prince. At this point, I can`t see either being top 6 players.

I thought in the rookie camp and preseason Puempel already looked like an NHLer. I honestly thought (SSS & age difference aside) that he looked better than Lazar.

This is probably the best comparisons so far but I think (hope) you're underrating Prince

I think Ryder is accurate for Puempel in terms of production, but I don't think he'll need to be nearly as guarded as Ryder has been throughout his career.

Francis Perron has really impressed me whenever I've watched him. In the few Rouyn-Noranda I watched earlier this season and the SSS he was consistently one of the best players on the ice.

Quentin Shore Proud to Carry On Family Legacy at DU

Quentin was drafted in the 6th round (168th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 2013 NHL Draft. He has participated in the Senators annual development camps, held shortly after the NHL Draft, in the summer of 2013 and again last year.

"I've been to Ottawa's development camp twice now and they've been a blast," the 20-year-old Coloradoan says. "It has been awesome meeting all of the guys and being able to skate with some of them. They do a great job getting some of their top players who have played in the NHL to come back and skate with us. It's high-paced and it's great hockey."

Perron is by far the best player we drafted last year behind Englund. Perron a natural scoring winger. He has top 6 NHL Potential if he plays like this. He's going to be a stud. He was the one prospect I had on the rise this year. Not bad for an 18 year old with 61 points already this year

He really just needs to get to a more NHL-ready weight and I can easily see him having a lot of success.

Thank God for our scouting

Overrated.
Perron was scoring at a close to PPG pace in Q last year (top-5 among 18year olds), so it's not like he is a gem that came out of nowhere.
He was definitely on all other teams radars, there was probably something in his game that they didn't like.
