Maybe, but the Neko group has the most money I thought.Neko Sparks would be another without a real estate (or really any) background.

I think ive read they have 15+ investors in his group. I don’t think we’ll really know everyone that is part of that bid unless they win out but you’re right i don’t think any of the names that have come out so far are in real estate.Neko Sparks would be another without a real estate (or really any) background.
POHO interfacing between Melnyk and Dorion could be turned into a comedy show!POHO role is to interface between GM and ownership while managing GM. Not the toughest role.
Took 2 weeks in Carolina.

That would be awful. They're dead in the water long term out there. Survive but never thrive. An interesting nugget in Garrioch's piece today.
"We’re also told at least two of the seven groups involved in the bidding have no interest in moving downtown and would rather spend less money to refurbish the Canadian Tire Centre."

Ya it was the UK part I was referring to, there loaded if I recall. We don't know that. They apparently had the highest non-binding bid, but at that stage the bidders didn't have to show their financing. They also apparently have some UK billionaires among the investors, but we don't know how much those investors are actually in for.
2 minute walk. i'm in.
Hey....that's where I live....

Could be the case. It's also interesting timing for someone to leak that when Calgary just got some gubment help at a time when pretty much everyone wants to have this big attraction downtown. An interesting nugget in Garrioch's piece today.

I wonder if there verywill be any from the Board of Directors who are making the decisions for the Sens if they are interviewing for jobs with any new ownership? What will happen with Anthony LeBlanc for example after the sale?
Never happening.DND and the Rideau centre, make it happen.
Surprised no one is talking about this:
Remington Group putting up $1B bid
They are also in talks with Jeff Yorks local group and have brought the KZA indigenous org to the table as well. Looks like they will be the new ownership group.
Man I hope they are teaming up with Andlauer.
Leaf fan here, just wanted to say I hope this goes through for you guys. Fresh new ownership, brand spanking new arena, young rebuilding club. The future looks bright
Depends on the structure. My guess is Andlauer would keep his minority stake in the Canadians over selling and taking a similar minority stake in the Sens.
there are rumours the RR is not the highest bid….maybe even lower than a few others, and there are rumours that the NHL is trying to do some sort of shepherding to either up the RR groups bid, or getting another group ,involved with the RR group, to sweeten their bid…. Rumours, not a good look
