He has been pushing them since the start.
Other companies/individuals that expressed an interest earlier appear to have joined that joint venture, so it seems like its a larger & wealthier group now.

"...... he’s put together a group that could include Windsor real estate magnate Rocco Tullio, along with Burlington-based Paul and Michael Paletta of Alinea Group Holdings."

I don’t care as long as RR gets pulled in.

Actually, scratch that, I guess my preference is Remington if they are going to let RR be the one in charge of the hockey team. But ultimately, I hope RR is involved no matter who wins.

Is this sealed final bids they would have all submitted and that's that, or is this the type of bidding where they can re-up and compete for the highest bid until last group standing?
I believe the field gets trimmed and then a final round of bids.

Did you submit anything, so you're worried you went too low? :-D

Damn it, let's just get this over with. Now they are saying it might not happen even by July 1st. I wish they started the process sooner.

That would be interesting. I assumed this would be one and done on a sealed bid type situation.

Lol, I wish, but no, I'm just a measly Peasant living the normal life like most here.

I was just curious. I bought a house on a foreclosure once and it was a sealed bit situation, which sort of sucked not knowing what you needed to beat. In hindight, we tossed over $10k in the trash over the next bid.

Yeah that's the issue with bidding. I bought a house 2 years ago and we had to offer the $ over the asking price, got lucky and we got the house although I was sure my offer was not going to be the highest one. Turns out at the same time there was a very similar house being sold nearby and it was 3 years younger (mine was built in 2010 and the other one was 2013) plus they had granite countertops so everyone was bidding on that one and just me and another buyer offered to buy this one and I outbid them for $2K LOL But yeah, it's crazy when you have to put the offer out and not knowing if you could save some $.

What’s been reported is. They will narrow down the field and have new bids submitted.
Makes sense. Probably going to work with the top 3 bids. Id imagine they told the parties that werent close they need to do something then they widdle it down to the most competitve options.

I'm surprised it is taking as long as it has, I was expecting things to be done in calendar Q1. Part of the issue is it took the Sens forever to get the data room together, which I guess I shouldn't consider too surprising but they had forever to get a jumpstart on this and it still took them months after the official sale was announced.

Its a "BAFO" then - Best & Final Offer. Its used fairly frequently in procurements.

I'm not surprised it's taking longer. For large undertakings, the initial schedule usually slips.

Ya, gotta love that house bidding eh. Sounds like you made out okay at least. I agree with Bert, your Realtor did well there not to urge you to go higher.
