This game is a lot exciting than I was expecting it to be. Thought Canada would walk over them.

USA has played all the big teams since the loss to Canada really well.

Regarding McDavid, the thing I've noticed with him, especially in this game, is that he seems to defer to others a lot. Not unexpected from a teenager on a team like Canada, but it would probably be better for the team if he tried to impose his will more.

That's one thing I've liked with Matthews, and Laine for that matter. They have both made good use of their abilities, and taken the right decisions despite being youth on a big stage.

That's in no way a comment about Matthews and Laine vs McDavid.
