I don't have much to say other than what has already been said - sucks that the GWG was a result of a bad call, but SWE didn't really offer anything. FIN was cool and in control for all of the 3rd period.

The kid line was completely neutralised, to the point that I started dreading when they came on ice because they had the least mature D game- Pulju and Laine in particular. Laine really needs to not be so overly confident with his slow passes (both in the O and D zones), I counted at least four of those being interrupted. Aho played the best of all of the three, I actually didn't have an issue with him.

Three starts
1st- Hot Wheels- awesome to have him back!
2nd- Hintz- mature game, important goal
3rd- Kaapo - wasn't really tested that hard, but just seeing him really calm gave me (and I guess the team) such confidence.

Dont even care for this tournament that much except for the value of seeing those talented kids but boii its good to beat Sweden. Allthough getting a bit tiresome..? But anyways uhn tis uhn tis uhn tis baybeee uhn tis uhn tis uhn tis.

One thing Finnish players is the best in the world at is that they always seen to outdo themselves in the national teams and the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. Very impressive.

Congrats Finland. Many people in here are really embarrasing. Both nations.

Expected more from Sweden but Finland really did a good game. We'll be back stronger next year.

Yep, the refs helped Finland. Then again, Sweden only produced 3 shots in 3rd period.

But every time Finland loses elimination game in Skoda Cup or WJC (after the 2014 semi-final Finns started to care about this tournament too), the whole Finnish public and media cries about referees. It's always referees' fault that we lose, never our obvious lack of talent...

So even if few Swedes are whining about refs now, we have nothing to say about that, because we are by worse when we lose.

Adrian Kempe interview.

Kaj Kunnas is maybe too harsh, boy almost cried on interview.

Some very questionable reffing which unfortunately cost the Swedes a lot, but we will take it. Sweden did not really show up after the first period, I just wish the refs hadn't interfered that much - I am confident we would have gotten it done even without the soft calls.

That being said, an intense game with a lot of speed - let's see what happens tomorrow! Hope we get the gold against USA & Mathews and Sweden beats Russia for bronze. :)

Well, I find it very Finnish to regret those bad calls when in other tournaments we are just "eternal whiners" - you will always get bad calls (especially in iihf tournaments), but you often get more than 3 shots in the 3rd period. Sweden didn't - was that refs' doing?

Great interview on finnish tv with Adrian Kempe, he summed up the game perfectly, he comes off as a real cerebral and mature guy.

Everyone stop with the flaming and trolling or you'll be booted from the thread and/or infracted.

Yes, well, especially with Mertaranta misjudgements, but if we are uselessly whining, it doesn't mean that others are somehow more justified in whining when it happens to them.

Why is no one even mentioning Kähkönen? Not many flashy saves, but looked hella solid this game. First time this tournament I haven't felt nervous every time the opposing team brought the puck into our zone.

Yeah, Kaapo was good today, real solid, that can't be overlooked.

Kahkonen on ykkönen!

From a HF perspective I definitely agree. A lot worse.

Patrik Laine.

– Jag förstår att svenskarna är besvikna på domarna. Några av utvisningarna de fick var felaktiga. Domarna var inte bra mot svenskarna. Men så är det ibland, säger han.

Good guy Laine.

Thats the impressive part really. Imagine when these guys play for each other, when we've got these amazing individuals.

Sweden was the most impressive team in the tournament even tho I saw just a one game from them. That style of hockey is great and players need to be in shape. All the best for the bronze game, beat those russians.
