GDT: Semifinal • Sweden vs. Finland pt 2

I love the intensity and excitement when Sweden and Finland play against each other. But I hate the media atmosphere after the game, whoever won. And try to avoid tabloids, headlines and comments..

It was a tight and exciting game. We won this time, I'm happy because of it. But we all know very well, how it feels on the other side too. I think we should try to respect that.

Exactly. I normally try to avoid even looking at the tabloid billboards and headlines. When there's a FIN-SWE game on I'm extra careful.

That stuff is pure trash. They pretend to be newspapers but are just disgusting money making *****. **** them.

Reminds me of the 2012 tournament and Atikal... Ahtokiul... Aitti... Sami the Goalie's performance in the semifinal vs. Sweden. He was crying and blamed himself for the loss too, while his teammates (by orders from the bench, no less) did nothing but turtle up around him and trusted him to stand the barrage.

This time, the losing side's skaters weren't able to chase back from behind instead of protecting a meager lead, but definitely not the goalie's fault regardless.

Nope, it was all about that stupid whining about the refs. You've got it too, although it cost us much more back then, than you today.

And yes, it was a great team. We deserved the win back then, like we did today.

But hey, maybe you can perform a better outcome next year?

Your "great team" lost to Russia, had 0-2 against Slovakia and Canada aswell..

This swedish team were better than the finnish one.

Thats a shame a goalkeeper who do a great preformance should not feel ashamed, but i think its a good think aswell that just show how much of a competive player they are.

Stop it now... Sweden had 30min they could have scored 1 goal but it looked like it was only Timashove who wanted something forward and one player cant do it alone.

And we had Söderström that did a great great game.

But what did the rest of the team do:dunno:?

No idea to be cocky like that, the game could have ended the other way. There is bad losers and bad winners, i guess u are a bad winner !

Umm, what makes me a bad winner, if im trying to point it out, that bad reffing goes in other ways too? I'm not saying that those calls was a good calls? Or did I? I think I just forgot it then, my bad.

I thought we won Canada and Slovakia games?
And isn't it a good sign that a team can raise their game and come back winning?

This crying by some is embarrassing.
 
Karlsson´s hit looked perfectly clean. And Kempe's 2min for interference was questionable too. So it's very understandable to complain afterwards.
Plenty of time to score after those, though.
