Karlsson´s hit looked perfectly clean. And Kempe's 2min for interference was questionable too. So it's very understandable to complain afterwards.
Plenty of time to score after those, though.
I think Sweden can feel hard done by the refs, but overlooking that, the Swedes only scored once.
You don't win by scoring once and conceding once. So Sweden wasn't good enough to win.
I sympathised and even wanted Sweden to tie the game so we'd have a real decider, but 30-minutes and nothing. Expected Kähkönen to be player of the game, was surprised by Kalapudas.
And if Finland scored even 1 goal outside situations created by the refs it would be much easier to swallow the outcome. Its not that Finland won (they looked better), its how they won that is annoying.
Anyway, hope Finland will win tomorrow.
Come on now. Nylander is better than Pulju, Laine and Aho at this point.
The first goal was not on the pp iirc?
Nylander is not better than Laine or Puljujarvi, both of whom which will likely play in the NHL just months after they are both drafted in the top 3-5.
Pretty sure the first goal was ES because Rantanen and Hintz simply outworked the Swedes on that shift.
if they do, they will get eaten raw in NHL.

It was directly after a PP, the swedish player had just stepped on the ice. Im not having a bone in this fight, though. Finland deserved the win. Embarrassing seeing some swedish posters having issues with a game played between teenagers.
some really lame pens, but alas - earwax (reference)
Puljo and Laines really exiting, good for Finland! Good luck in the finals, ill be rooting for the US, though![]()
A lenghty step, since there were 14 seconds between the time the penalty expired and the goal was scored. To paint that goal as one of those when the player is barely out of the box and unable to really do anything is just not right. When the goal was scored there were five Swedes and three Finns within 5 meters of the Swedish net. You can hardly hold the refs resposible of the poor defecive play that left Hintz wide open in front of the net.It was directly after a PP, the swedish player had just stepped on the ice.
I hope Finland wins tomorrow, Finlands sak är vår(except when you play us)!
