Happy to advance to the GMG. Every Russian fan could barely breath because the USA continued to apply the pressure and manufacture great scoring chances for the entire match. They never quit, and they have really brilliant talent. Both teams put up quite a battle right up to the last second bleeding off the clock. Good luck to Team USA tomorrow.

Imagine if it was Belarus or Denmark in that game. How much would it mean to them? Or even Slovakia, Switzerland, and so on. I expect my team to give as much importance to that game, because to think you're "above" caring about something that would be the highlight of some opponents' careers is the definition of arrogance and disrespect, and an insult to the game.

Wilson came off bad there and during the game some of our big players did not have their best game. Oh well I can root for Ivan and Radel!!!

I missed this game because I was at work, but when I got home and saw Wilson's comments from before the game... Oh boy.
How is even possible that at this level there's a coach that doesn't do any scouting, doesn't watch a single game of their opponent and doesn't know one player from the other team by name? This is disgraceful.

Yeah, for such a successful and experienced coach, he came off as a real {insert-word-for-genitals-here}... What kind of coach comes into this tournament not knowing Provorov, Samsonov, etc? And not watching their matches? And talking about politics before the game instead of looking at tape or something? AND taking the time to comment on what other teams are doing wrong...
Still, he had his team playing good hockey, so I guess he knows how to do his job at least somewhat proficiently...

US didn't have enough depth. Bottom six did absolutely nothing. Shut down Matthews, you shut down the team. Werenski was playing like garbage today and he was still out every other shift because there's nobody else.

Yes, it's unfortunate that Wilson apparently had zero faith in Krys, McAvoy and Fortunato by the third period.
Of course, group B was weak and the groups were unbalanced and that's why 2 teams from group B are in the final game now.

Well all i can say is Russia again played the last 10 min to passive and conservative not a great style of hockey to play when your only up by 1 goal . so very close game but good for Russia's goalie ! what a goalie he is kept them in it thats for sure . ! going to be a good final id predict Russia wins . i still cant believe swedes lost against the finns .
