Canada gets their revenge. Im not so sure are they ready to lose Russia again? And if they lose can Hayton grow some nuts and get his helmet of for national anthem? I have always liked Canada but Hayton is so embrassing little prick, so i hope Russia sweeps the floor with Canada in the final

You could've left some salt for the others.

Yeah, the ideal game for Finland is looking like the last 15 minutes from that 1st period. Annunen saved everything and Hofer let’s a couple of easy ones and it’s a tight game.

The real question is whether that game would have happened if Canada hadn’t gone up by 3 early.

Canada has just been way better and converted on most of their chances.

Hope our guys put up a somekind of fight till the end.

Damn that Canadian goalie with some flashy saves at the end.

I agree that Hofer had to be sharp, particularly after the big lead.

It’s pretty hard to maintain that focus after a big lead develops.

But if Canada keeps scoring goals, it’s going to be tough for Finland to come back no matter how well they skate.
Agreed, but taking nothing for granted

Canada is just so clinical. Perfect shots. Great talent upfront. Can't give them any space and that's hard.

Let's try and make this a game at least.

They didn't play Helminen hockey for that elusive 60 minutes of hockey.

You just knew after Canada scored 2-3 goals that we were done for the night.

Even the most optimistic Finns couldn't have expected the team to score more than possibly 2 garbage goals against Canada. Keeping it 1-1 in regulation, with the goalie standing on his head, while scoring an ugly OT goal was probably our only chance of winning.

The team just has no stand-out goal scorers, and Helminen, a career "pass-first" guy, wasn't the kind of a coach to bring any hidden potential out of them.

For several minutes we had only 9 forwards to put on the ice
(Kupari injured, Ranta was getting medical attention and Räty was "temping" Ranta in the box)
For short period of time we had 8 forwards (one of our players had some issues with his left knee).

- good times -

At this point you need a junior superstar like Barkov, Laine or Kakko was. Individual effort, GOALSCORING and leading the way.

Unfortunately at this point we don't have any. That's why i'm not confident at all that we're coming back.

But to all of my fellow Finns: Remember where this team is coming from, before tournament and after terrible group stage. Injuries, missing best guys. This team will fall, but still playing for medals once again.

I agree.

I just hear that TSN is biased all the time and I just don’t see it. They definitely concern themselves with Canada’s players but as far as interpreting what is happening on the ice, I don’t see it.
I completely agree...as it concerns the juniors lol...

Missed 6 minutes of clear powerplay time for Finland.

2.

If they call the high stick, they call the unsportsmanlike, so that negates 2 of the 4 powerplay minutes. Not sure the other 2 you are speaking of.

Besides, Finland had a powerplay and did nothing. So, there’s no evidence it would change anything.
