hate these types of games especially when it is your team that goes up by the 4, they fall asleep and play out the string for two periods, sometimes the other team makes a game of it and sometimes not, either way it's a pain

They did, but that was just awful from Annunen and Hatakka. A fluke. But don’t you think they stopped skating after 3-0.

I agree that Hofer had to be sharp, particularly after the big lead.

It’s pretty hard to maintain that focus after a big lead develops.

But if Canada keeps scoring goals, it’s going to be tough for Finland to come back no matter how well they skate.

Really nice period by Drysdale. I was hoping that he would eat into Bernard-Docker's minutes but this is satisfactory. Also liking Hofer's game so far. I agree with Farraro that it's a stupid decision to make one Finn sit in the penalty box for a misconduct while the other guy is getting stitched up. Bad break for Finland due to a stupid rule.

9 other players did and that does not matter. Its his job to know what is going on around him.

I heard the whistle on tv, but the finnish commentator did not. I think it is pretty clear Ranta did not hear it.

My 2 cents.. both were deliberate. The shot was out of frustration and should've been penalized. The clip to the face was deliberate too. He should've got a penalty too.

Having said that... not sure what the D should've done? You can't let a late shot like that. If I did that in my beer league I'd get slashed a LOT for the dick move. If he punches him then he gets a penatly. If he skates away, the Finn gets a penalty but it looks like he didn't defend his goalie.

You don't see the after whistle shot very often!

I can't say that is the turning point though... Canada was already flying!

Pulling off the upset against USA was miraculous enough with this roster.

Can't win it every year or every time. This team did well with all the missing players and hillbilly-coach. Getting bronze would be achievement above any WHC bronze to these kids.

Canada gets their revenge. Im not so sure are they ready to lose Russia again? And if they lose can Hayton grow some nuts and get his helmet of for national anthem? I have always liked Canada but Hayton is so embrassing little prick, so i hope Russia sweeps the floor with Canada in the final

Yeah, the ideal game for Finland is looking like the last 15 minutes from that 1st period. Annunen saved everything and Hofer let’s a couple of easy ones and it’s a tight game.
