Sherry. Pinky out.Do you drink port?
Will Johansen actually play for the Flyers? I assume he will clear waivers. Do they give him a shot or does he head to Allentown?
I remember he was somewhat good long, long ago. Like ages ago when horses, suspenders and dresses from the prairie were a thing. He should cut his hair like Michael Landon used to.
Sherry. Pinky out.
Gotta save it for Chychrun. At least we avoided that 6 year 42 million dollar extension with Walker.
If you want I can be ultra-negative with you and it’ll turn positive. No! I'm combating negativity, which is positive. "One set of people had one general take, and a different set of people now has a different one! How stupid! I pretend this is inconsistent and unhinged!" is not a positive vibe.

I am a proton working to balance the charge of a negative. Please ignore that this is backwards, chemistry is for nerds.
Yeah, but next year, you have a first that Is guarenteed to be a better # than a 2024 second. We don’t need to select a player this year, time actually doesn’t really matter to the Flyers right nowIt's also a year later and less liquid.
And not to repeat myself, but taking on RyJo's contract alone was worth that conditional 1st. So what was Walker's actual value?

I never really thought they would trade both Walker and Seeler. It’s just how they do business unfortunately. I mean if they liked him they still could of traded him for a 3rd or whatever and give him a chance to win and then sign him this summer. This isn't an insictment on you, but man is it awful that we always have to be thankful we didn't do the worst thing. Good organizations do good things, not just " a less bad" thing.
This. Briere has hinted on several occasions that he wanted to do something big. I’m with you here. He’s up to something.Of course I can smell a trade involving a 1st rounder (or two!) in the near future. Which is probably the point.
I could see a move-up in the draft if they have like 12-15 guys rated highly. They can afford it now.This. Briere has hinted on several occasions that he wanted to do something big. I’m with you here. He’s up to something.

That's not really the same situation though."Margins don't matter"
Since when? That's where deals are really won. Reminder:
Leafs had to pay a 1st to get rid of 1 year of Marleau.
We just took on RYJO for 1.5 years for a 1st...and gave up Walker...and a 5th.
As others have said, we get killed in the margins in every deal. All this little wasted marguns add up over time. Not surprised considering Fletch taught him.

The problem with consistently losing in the margins is now you're putting all your eggs into the basket of getting every single decision correct, and that's just not realistic.Meh...
Where you lose is bad trades, bad signings, picking the wrong players in drafts *cough* Nolan Patrick *cough* ...
The Flyers aren't going to be a bad/mediocre team because they lost in some perceived margins (as if anyone knows the trade deals). They'll be bad because of poor decision making.
The opposite is true for being winners.
Poor decision making is taking a cap dump, and not getting anything in return for it.Meh...
