Prospect Info: Sean Farrell, C/LW, 124th Overall

I think Farrell is overhyped, like many others and like many others before him that we all forgot.
But I just want he prove me I'm wrong. I like when small players prove me I'm wrong when they outplay players of 6'4" and 220 lbs.

Last small player to do this well was Caufield.

... of 5'9" 175 lbs.

Farrell is good but he's not Caufield. I see your point.

We are only really going to know how good Farrell is after he turns pro. For now, enjoy the show cause him and Hutson are dominating the NCAA.

I'm fairly high on Farrell but he's going to have to move the needle with skating as a smaller type player when he starts playing AHL/NHL games. And that's going to happen here shortly

What would be the ratio of small players and big players in a team wanting to win the Stanley Cup?
One small and one big? Two big and one small? Two small and one big?
It's not like I close the door to any small player but I saw too many years, or decades I would say of smallish players always get eliminated in first round of PO. They used to call us smurfs. We were begging on our knees to the refs to call penalties and the refs just shut the whistle and let the big players do their job. That was PO time and it didn't changed.

I had stats of Farrell and Evans on my computer, one each another side by side and it looked like it was very similar stats when I don't look at the NHL stats.

The added advantage in scouting Farrell is the ability to see how he performed at the Olympics and WC last year. Farrell is not a sure shot hit but he's got an edge over Evans at the same age path

That's a difficult question to answer. Right now, we have smaller types of Caufield, Farrell, Hutson as guys we feel will make our roster. Harris and RHP as well. Kidney?

Will all 5 or 6 be on our roster when we are potentially competing for a cup? Not sure.

RHP is one that has sneaked into the mix.

I think we are at the threshold but it would not stop me from drafting Michkov. I would pass on Benson though

He has a great shot, he could use it more.. but it's definitely far from a muffin.
It seems to float a bit and he doesn't generate a ton of power. He does seem to have a quick release, so I guess there is a deceptive aspect to it. Again, I know nothing apart from a few Youtube clips and I generally don't watch NCAA hockey, so I'll trust your analysis here.

Tampa Bay won the cup with
Kucherov
Point
Gourde
Johnson

So having Caufield and Farrell on separate lines is not an issue, at all.

Who ends up better if we take Caufield out of the mix cause we know who he is at the NHL level now. I kept Harris in the mix. Difficult question to answer and their performance when they turn pro will reveal the truth.

I doubt all 5 of the guys below are on our roster in 3-5 years when we might be contenders.

Harris
Hutson
Farrell
RHP
Kidney
