@montreal I just binge watched a bunch of your Farrell videos. I didn’t get the chance to watch a lot of his games live throughout the year and I wanted to get a better feel for his game. Great vids by the way.

He has legitimate top 6 upside. He’s a good skater, good shot, good hands, hockey IQ… everything. He’s underrated and should be a player for us for a long time.

I think Farrell and Wright are a perfect match for each other. Both have high IQ and a solid 200 ft game. One is undersized with great playmaking ability, while the other has good size and great shot.

Glad you like the vids. I am really impressed with Farrell and he easily could be our top prospect as he's smart, hard working, highly skilled, has some sandpaper to his game. The improvement in his shot is what really is exciting as he can't just be a pass first type. Can not wait to see how much he can continue to progress or not.

They can't, they can come to development camps if they pay their own way and take nothing from the NHL team not even a comped meal
That's stupid. Farrell is a drafted player, and as such should be able to attend any camps his NHL team want to see him. These old rules should be changed.

He must be comong to development camp?

I'mbreally looking forward to it. Glad Mailloux will be there, though too bad we won't be able to see him in inter-squad scrimmages.

But really looking forward to seeing Farrell, Roy, Kidney, Xhekaj, and the 2022 draft cohort.

The development camp is the most boring thing on Earth... for us, the fans. The rookies Camp is way more exciting.

I find the scrimmages give us some information on the players we just drafted and on who's progressing well.

I remember being impressed with Fairbrother the year he was drafted - but also Rhett Pitlick...

So it is what it is. The speedsters tend to shine. But it is interesting to see who the fast players are.

He can, if he pays his own way but 99% don't do so because they are at school by then and practicing with their team on their own (coaches aren't allowed that early)

He can, he would just lose his NCAA eligibility.

That's incorrect as long as he were to pay his own way, Joe Steskajal did it, the only reason was because Dartmouth starts school later then most others, not sure if Harvard is the same or not, would have to check as the Ivy league teams usually don't start their season until the end of October or the 1st week of November off the top of my head.

1 an à Harvard et ensuite il sera prêt a faire le saut chez les pros
Son défi sera d'être rien de moins que le meilleur joueur de toute la NCAA l'an prochain.

He can be the best he can be.

I'm real excited to see him, Roy, and Kidney at the next level.

I agree that alot of these rules ought to evolve

That one and the AHL rule that does not allow CHL players to play their OA years in the AHL or whatever that rule is

Yeah. That is why it is stupid. You draft these College kids and you could wait 4 years (at most) to see them in a real rookies Camp with your other prospects.
Good, most players aren’t ready for the NHL until 20-21 regardless of how talented they are.

Drafts ages are ok but The age requirement to play in the NHL past 9 games per year of your ELC should be closer to 20-21.

Except for exceptional status players ( Crosby, ovechkin )

For the own developpement players’s i agree. They should play into the AHL even at 19 yo. But at the ennd, it gonna benefit the AHL League and junior league will lose interest [$) by fans, Îm pretty sure…

End the ELC slide rule and you get instant balance between the CHL, AHL and NHL. Everyone goes where they should.

If CHL players cannot play in the AHL befire they are 20, no players coming from any European leagues should be allowed too. Mysak had no business playing in Laval last season.
