Embarrassing return for a 2OA pick years ago. I'd be better if they waived him.
Come on now. Haha

You never know what your gonna get. Forsling was similar and waived. Mikkola. Ryan graves was an after thought. Ekman-Larson was said to be the worst day some had ever seen on this board. There are a lot of examples of guys falling through the cracks that reinvent themselves and become good to great and/or massively useful to winning teams.

I'm not saying this is that for either player, but we will see how things shake out.

Same goes for Vaak.

Mancini got obliterated this year despite flashes, this at least gets them an NHL D instead of more Connor Mackey.

It'll be fine.

Woof. Double woof. Welp, Kakko kinda sucked in an enigmatic kind of way, so I guess it's now perfectly fine for everyone to just admit it. But just like with Lias, excuses were made for him because of where he was picked when it was clear as day he had a 10-cent head and benefitted from his linemates instead of the other way around. The fact that Cuylle plays the same position and was drafted and developed by the same NYR staff shows that this pathetic return is entirely on Kakko, and it took a pro-Finland front office to make it happen.

I'm not a fan of Drury's work but I'm glad he finally ripped off the proverbial band-aid. What a bust. Take it all in boys, Kakko beats out Malhotra, Brendl, Lundmark, McIlrath, and Montoya as the biggest draft-day disappointment in franchise history.

Color me optimistic, but I think one of Perreault or Othmann will make us forget Kakko rather quickly.
I disagree with this take about Kakko being the worst bust. Look at other prospects picked that year in top-10. Outside of Seider I don’t have a strong sentiment about any of them.

Feelin' good on a Wednesday
I actually defended Drury for the most part. Not on the Buch trade obv

But the Goody deal & Trouba

But this is legit HIM TRYING TO GET FIRED & burning it down on the way out.

This is straight up tampering by an existing GM. There’s no way around this deal.

I sincerely hope the Rangers keep losing until Drury is not only fired, but made to look so bad, that another job in professional hockey at any level and in any capacity outside of custodial work will be impossible for him to attain.
You'll have your wish, have you looked at the schedule? Baring a complete turnaround we're gonna lose atleast 10 of the next 14 lol

I’m not going to pretend to know who Will Borgen is, I’m sorry I don’t know the players like I used to and he sounds more like the guy from Stranger Things, but the fact that no one on here likes this trade tells me everything I need to know.

This just strikes me as a move to get rid of someone that Drury doesn’t like. This season just keeps getting worse.

We are drifting further into Dark Ages mode again where both the players and management can f*** right off.

It’s amazing. 6 months ago I actually thought we could win the Stanley Cup. And now I’m having feelings that I haven’t felt since the expansion Thrashers thrashed the rangers on thanksgiving night. So disappointed.
