Certainly not, considering they've apparently been interested in him for a while and if it just took a 4th why wouldn't they have just done that over a week ago? Someone already posted the comparable dmen deadline deals and they are all like at least a 3+5

Agreed. I somehow am even less enthusiastic about this team that I was this morning. Lower than my all time low in caring. Drury is an actual idiot and a huge part of what’s wrong here. He needs to go.

About the only positive from this trade is the Rangers replenishing some of their draft pick pool after trading away so many picks in recent years. These picks likely won't do anything for them in the next few years, but it's always good to keep filling up the draft pick pool, if you're going to have high end contracts, you need cheap ELCs (hopefully fully developed or at least developing) to fill out the roster. Yes the cap is going up, but it's good to have flexibility.

The Rangers bleeped up Kakko's development, though I'm not absolving him of any blame. He starred at the World Hockey Championships in his draft year, but it went all downhill from there. I had been a supporter of his and I wish him well with the Seattle Kraken.

I've barely even heard of Will Borgen, so I'll reserve judgement for now.

With the way we are playing and the way KK was going, had Drury waited another month we probably/definitely would have been looking at an even worse return.

Drury got the deal he could get and although we wanted more, market value is where he went.

Again, this place was full of Kakko sucks since this season started. Yet we expected to get a return commensurate with someone who doesn't suck. Dont work that way.

To be clear, Dolan was more upset about the Tom Wilson incident than his team becoming completely unwatchable and beyond unlikeable at every level to even the most diehard of fans?

Goodrow and Trouba were bad and overpaid but the manager is supposed to manage the team not just make decisions from a boardroom with no tact or care for the human beings on his team and how they might react. Kakko is cheap and actually good if not what we all hoped hed be and we just literally gave him away for barely more than absolutely nothing.

This guy is a garbage GM and is the first one that needs to go
