I think the cat is out of the bag on that. Pretty sure he was called Obi-Wan in front of Leia, and he just said "I go by Ben Kenobi these days. So if she heard it as I expect she did, she should know

Also mind you I'm a "just enjoy the gift of Star Wars" guy so i don't nit-pick, but the battle between Vader and Obi-Wan *kinda* nullifies the whole "when I left you I was the learner - now I AM the master" line from A New Hope between Obi-Wan and Vader

Am pretty sure by the end of this season some kind of "you will forget this" will be applied to Leia, there's no way it can't after conflicting with Ep 4 this much.
btw they did an excellent job voicing Vader in this one, it was like straight our of Ep V.

It seems like they’re really going with the she is spending time with Ben Kenobi and she doesn’t know that he also goes by Obi-Wan. Just a ridiculous premise to build a show around when they had so many other avenues.

They had a narrow pathway to make it work, and they've missed it.

That scene was annoyingly vague as to whether that conversation was happening in front of Leia or away from her. And yeah, V vs. O-W is another problematic retcon. That was always going to be an issue with the series, but they sure have handled it as ham-handedly as possible.

I don't think they'll bother with that and honestly I hope that they don't, that will just make it even worse. They're probably just going to act as if nothing is impacted by this storyline and Leia just neglects to mention their previous history together. A better way to do this would be for Leia to know Ben, who she then believes is killed, and hence doesn't make the connection to Obi-Wan in SW.

And yes, it was great hearing JEJ as Vader. Not having to deal with Lucas' emo dialogue about Padmé's death also helps.

The worst part of these Disney+ Star Wars series is that they are so unimaginative visually, they look like fanfilms in their framing, colour pallettes, costume design. The score is just background music and cant stand on its own.

They also use the Volume as a crutch, you can tell every scene its used in because they are all shot from the same distsnce and same angle, and you can basically see the edge where the stage ends and the screen begins.

Also this is quite possibly one of the ugliest scenes Star Wars has ever produced.

I haven't decided how I feel about Reva. The Inquisitors are made for hunting scraps so Vader doesn't waste his time. So the notion that she doesn't fit and has greater ambition explains why she feels out the of place. On the other hand, the actor might just be doing a shit job or be wrong for the role. I guess I'll find out as the series unfolds. The Inquisitors are designed to not be a threat to the Siths though, so her ambition might get her offed by Vader at some point. Let's see!

Ewan McGregor is f***ing lights-out. Crushing it.

She's going to get merced by Vader and/or she's going to help Obi-Wan by the end.

More than likely she gets killed by Vader after calling him Anakin by accident.

I would approve of this.

Vader has put them all through total hell, so finding out he's a former Jedi hero would probably not go over well with Inquisitors who are typically failed Jedi with huge grudges against the order and its stars.

I predict we find out her hand stunt comes right from Vader. In the comics he did something similar to the Inquisitors while training them

Vader also has a history of killing (or wanting to kill) anyone that refers to him as that name. IIRC, the only ones that knew who he was and Vader allowed to live were Palpatine, Thrawn, and Tarkin.

And the latter two because Palpy wouldn't let him touch either.

Also a theory: Reva is a Padawan who survived the purge before being captured and put through the torturous conversion into Inquisitor. She buys into the "Jedi betrayed the empire" narrative in large part because she watched Anakin killing her friends, and she assumed he was put down because that was the story put out.

Finding out Vader is Anakin would probably do things to her brainmeat

She already knows that Vader is Anakin though. When she was toying with Obi-Wan she tells him "Anakin Skywalker is alive."

If you had told 10 year old me, 14 year old me, even 18 year old me that I would actually hate an Obi-Wan show I would have laughed in your face. But here I am. How have they fumbled it so poorly.

Episode 4 is very obviously filler that they wrote when they changed course from movie to show so they could have more episodes,
Reva could have attached a tracker last episode and nothing would be lost, but hey, look guys don't you recognize that dead jedi from the clone wars? Cameos mean you have to like it!

The actress playing young Leia is good but is it me or does she look about 7-8 years old rather than 10?

I really didn't enjoy Episode 4

I try not to nitpick and just enjoy, but I'm annoyed Leia held off Reva's mind probe...dumb dumb dumb.

Also she totally knows Obi-Wan's real identity for sure now, so how they fixing that?

Making this series focused on Leia was then most moronic decision they could have made.

They pretty much had a blank slate with what they could do and they chose a path that would cause the most conflicts with canon.
It's insane. She could have been a killer 1-2 episode arc later on in a longer narrative, but this was just lazy uninspired writing.

She *just* turned 10, so I guess was 9 or maybe 8 for filming. She does seem more like 7-8 though.

They're not. It's broken and it's best they just ignore it at this point. Any in-show explanation is going to be f***ed as hell.
