Is Stranger Things out all at once, or are they doing a weekly release?

I absolutely loved season 1. And then never watched season 2. It’s a problem I have with television that many of the shows I really enjoy, so much time passes I want to rewatch the last season, and then never get around to the 10 hour time investment. And then the next season. It’s counterintuitive and very stupid but alas.

3 years between seasons has killed my enthusiasm. Probably won’t watch

My daughter was very cool on watching this season but decided to watch a little with her best friend out of nostalgia - it was a whole thing in middle school. They were hooked again and are currently binge watching the rest of it.

Season two was kinda meh and then 3 decided "Screw it, let's go from straight horror to more Spielbergesque kid spy fun" and it actually made things fresh again.

Yeah two got weird to the point of “is it really canon?”

Season one and now four are incredible. Really loved what the did this time around. I have some nitpicks, mostly in the Cali storyline, but that's it

Can't wait for the next 2 eps. 90 mins and then 2 hrs+ are the ep lengths for the July ones

I didn't notice a DC comics megathread so putting this here. Saw this trailer pop up as trending for some new CW show called "Gotham Knights"

first off that looks horrible... Secondly... Who the hell are these people?

Gotham Knights follows the story of Bruce Wayne's adopted son TURNER HAYES who is framed for Batman's murder...

Who the **** is Turner Hayes? I know Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Jason Todd, Damian Wayne... Hell even Carrie Kelley(the female Robin who is apparently in this show, although there was also another female Robin who was Tim Drake's gf Stephanie Brown and then became Batgirl).

Swear to God never heard the name Turner Hayes before.

Also someone named "Duela Dent" who may or may not be Joker's Daughter? Or Harley Quinn's daughter with Harvey Dent? or whatever.

I swear that Japanese Spider-man with the giant robot made more sense that this

I've read a LOT of Batman over the years but I don't recall Duela Dent ever being in anything enough to justify her existence there, let alone as a lead character of a TV show.

Yes, it was better, but that's damning with faint praise. What worked to some extent: Indira Varma, *some* of Vader v. Obi-wan, and I found young Leia to be more convincing, though by now the criticism that she would have most assuredly led off her famous message to Obi-Wan differently is ironclad. I'm fine with the Inquisitors, including the 3rd Sister, but they're really just 2 dimensional throw-away villains.

Poor Hayden Christiansen. This is the most ridiculous role any actor has ever been tasked with. We get to see his heavily made-up face in a bacta tank for a couple of seconds, and then watch him walk around menacingly and do some stunts fully masked, but with all of his lines voiced by James Earl Jones. He's a glorified stunt man.

I have no idea what that Freck shit was, and that sort of thing is my main beef with the series thus far. There are SOOOOO many nonsensical sequences in these episodes that not only drag on but also add absolutely nothing of value. I guess the point there is Leia is a chip off the old Padmé (except Portman's performance can't touch Fisher's Leia) but it's jarringly juxtaposed with the the banality of evil? It was just such an awkward strange scene, like why did anyone think that was something they should write and produce? And they could have easily accomplished either of those small thematic points in far less convoluted ways.

I found Boba Fett to be hopelessly confused, but it was at worst a watchable mess best greeted with a shrug. Meanwhile, this has been a prequels level disappointment for me.

It seems like they’re really going with the she is spending time with Ben Kenobi and she doesn’t know that he also goes by Obi-Wan. Just a ridiculous premise to build a show around when they had so many other avenues.

I think the cat is out of the bag on that. Pretty sure he was called Obi-Wan in front of Leia, and he just said "I go by Ben Kenobi these days. So if she heard it as I expect she did, she should know

Also mind you I'm a "just enjoy the gift of Star Wars" guy so i don't nit-pick, but the battle between Vader and Obi-Wan *kinda* nullifies the whole "when I left you I was the learner - now I AM the master" line from A New Hope between Obi-Wan and Vader
