What parts? Because imo..they have all been amazing shows ..way above my expectations. They are night and day compared to other nutrek shows save Lower Decks

@Beef Invictus

I think that is a huge mistake they are making with SW..it's like they expect you to have a wider knowledge of their world beyond the movies
Have you seen the episode that dropped today--there are two reveals--the second makes sense--when the first reveal as to who is in fact the bad guy of the week--the character turned into a clown or a cartoon if you like--over the top campy--they played it for humour but I did not think the bad guy needed to turn into a cartoon that quickly

Yep.

Abrams purposefully left shit out of movies so they could be expounded upon in the extended universe. That's as dumb as it gets.

I am enjoying Obi-Wan though, I've watched far worse stuff than this.

I really loved last episode of Obi-Wan

I love how they're really fleshing out how immature Anakin in as Darth Vader still at this point. The splicing of the AOTC duel w/ the present story was a terrific reminder that Vader is still trying to prove something this old Master...his ego being paramount. It "feels" like Anakin is in that suit, rather than the badass Vader from Ep 4.

I love it. Helps the transition of character development between Eps 3 and 4.

Wild what can happen when they actually put the characters that people want to see and are the name sake of the series as a focal point.

Well said..Episode 5 was so much better than 1-4 that it amazes me it was even made by the same people.

vastly improved episode 6... the whole series should have been this good

hell of a fight between Vader and Obi-Wan..it had everything one would have wanted

also QUI-GON finally

also some more f*** up to the continuity

Well, the last two episodes were so much better than the prior four that it's maddening. No coincidence that Leia was practically an afterthought in both of them, literally in a hole most of one episode and largely off-screen in the other. I'm glad they found a way to make HC's appearance in the series meaningful, that's something I was curious to see whether or not they could pull off and they did. It's the best work he's done as Anakin / Vader, even if he was looking a little old there in the Anakin scenes.

The SW tradition of messing with the continuity of the established story continues. Not only should Leia's message to Kenobi in SW start off with, "My dear old friend," but you think she would have been a bit more broken up when Luke screams, "Ben!" when Kenobi is struck down in SW.

Ultimately, it's a lost opportunity. This actually could have been the best thing they've done with the original core group of characters since Empire. It also probably would have worked better as a standalone movie rather than a series.

Small retcon that actually worked: It was always odd, after the fact, that Kenobi called Vader "Darth" in Star Wars, like it was a first name. It was a small tiny off detail that bothered me to an unreasonable degree, after the prequels and all of the other various Darths. Obi-wan realizing Anakin is almost completely gone, and bitterly and almost derisively saying, "Goodbye, Darth," in lieu of killing his friend, snapped that all into place.

I guarantee that was an intentional "correction" to ANH.

Can someone explain to me how Reva knew that Luke was Anakin’s son? Or did she know? Or what the hell was all of that?

There was nothing that I can remember that would make her possess that knowledge and if she didn’t why did she go after him?

Without a re-watch, this is just offhand, but I don't think she knew Luke was Anakin's kid. Like Leia, she knew the kids were important, likely assuming they were force sensitive, but didn't know they were Anakin's kids. I am absolutely not doing a re-watch to confirm.

But what was the motivation then? Her anger was directed at Vader. What does Bail and his daughter or a random kid have to do with that?

I don’t think she had any issues with Obi-Wan but maybe I’m just forgetting.

She definitely had an issue with Obi-Wan. Something to the effect of "Where were you when your padawan was murdering younglings?"

I think she inferred that both the Organas and Obi-Wan were protecting force sensitive children, so this was a way to hurt Obi-Wan. Not sure Vader was the consideration after he embarrassed her and left her wounded.

Again, could be way off base, but I am not doing any legwork to confirm.

Currently reading the left hand of darkness by Ursula k leguin and I'm pretty disappointed. Thought it would be better. Still gonna read the dispossessed and hope that's better.

Yeah the way he sort of sneered it at him was great. I pretty much loved the whole episode. They also do a very good job justifying Obi's "certain point of view" reasoning: it came from Vader himself. And they really did great fleshing out Vader and incorporating Anakin's character flaws into him; of course he'd tell Obi-Wan that he made himself. "You didn't make me, I did."

The series is like Rogue One for me. When I watched that, throughout it I kept thinking "What is the point of this?" Then it all came together in the end, and I feel Rogue One enhances Episode 4 and makes it better. With the final 2 episodes, I think this series accomplishes the same thing.

Ewan's character progression is worth a rewatch aside from any other flaws.

Yeah my thought was that after badly failing to get revenge on Vader, she went for the master she clearly blamed for making him. She's going after both Vader and Kenobi in the series.

But it's not communicated clearly, I would say. Since we are left speculating about a pretty vital point.
