I've really enjoyed The Sandman on Netflix so far. About halfway through the series and the last episode was both phenomenal and terrifying
I thought it was abysmal. It’s been a little bit so I don’t quite remember what all I didn’t like about it.I've really enjoyed The Sandman on Netflix so far. About halfway through the series and the last episode was both phenomenal and terrifying
I wonder if the actors aren’t just relieved to move on to some degree. The show’s water cooler appeal faded years ago, the actors are highly in demand, and I’m sure a project like that is exhausting. Do they even feel particularly invested in their characters?
I never watched past season 1, so I just remember what a trip it was and don’t really have any negative feelings.
Plus they getting paid and not even having to work
Wasn't it like $100m on a batgirl movie they aren't even going to release?^
The dude running HBO right now loves flushing money down the toilet under the guise of theoretically not flushing even more money down the toilet later.
Too early to tell if he's savvy or naive.
Yep, that was another ballsy decision.Wasn't it like $100m on a batgirl movie they aren't even going to release?
epi 6 was the apex of the series..i couldnt even get through 15 minutes of epi 7I've really enjoyed The Sandman on Netflix so far. About halfway through the series and the last episode was both phenomenal and terrifying
What few stuff I saw seemed like it was a failed CW show. They probably make more money showing repeats of Shawshank redemption or virtually anything else over batgirl.Yep, that was another ballsy decision.
It wasn't just a movie adaptation, though. They even brought back Keaton as Bruce Wayne. It was the most financially impacful decision WB has done with the new direction of HBO and HBO Max so far. What few stuff I saw seemed like it was a failed CW show. It doesn’t matter who the brought back if the product was as bad as it looked in the leaked photos. It wasn't just a movie adaptation, though. They even brought back Keaton as Bruce Wayne. It was the most financially impacful decision WB has done with the new direction of HBO and HBO Max so far.
Impossible to know the quality of a movie before it goes through post-production.It doesn’t matter who the brought back if the product was as bad as it looked in the leaked photos.
Its not impossible to know the quality of the product. Post production can only work so much magic. Can a CW show quality super hero costume look good with Hollywood editing? No. It’s going to essentially look the same. The quality of the movie could be improved but the costumes could not.Impossible to know the quality of a movie before it goes through post-production.
I'm not disagreeing with the decision without knowing all of the information, but it's an incredibly risky move to light $100M on fire.

From what I heard the movie was finished, why would you drag a whole cast and crew through that just gif debits? There has to be easier and less hurtful ways to do so.Honestly some of these moves make it look like they are actually deliberately attempting to accrue debits for financial reasons.
up til the last episode he did seem sort of to be shilling for the Empire lolThe Andy Serkis character in "Andor" is f***ing stupid.

This thread probably isn't the place for this, but the wife and I started watching Handmaid's Tale a while back. We recently finished season 3 and I tapped out. I was pretty much done after season 2, but gave it another chance, to my own detriment.
Season 1 supposedly covered most of the book and it wouldn't have been a bad place to end it. As they expand on the story and continue world building it just becomes more and more unbelievable and plot holes become larger than the sun.
Do not recommend.
So the teleported thing from start trek doesn’t teleport the person using it, it copies the person, kills the person and makes a clone at the target destination.
That’s f***ing morbid.
But what did you think about the ultra close ups of Elisabeth Moss' face for half of the episodes? Does that enrage you like it enrages me?This thread probably isn't the place for this, but the wife and I started watching Handmaid's Tale a while back.
