Would love for Barkov to get on the scoresheet a little more in the finals, can't complain about the rest he has done this playoffs, but i do think we need it to match Connor and Drai.

Heres Barky vs Edmonton is his career, outside of the early parts he has done pretty well against the Oilers.

To match Connor and Draisaitl dont take to many Penaltys. And i think the depth of our Team is our best thing. Lundell, Tarasenko Loustarinen, for me the best depth Guys in the whole Playoffs, special Lundell has a great PO Year.
Also our Depth in D is great. So Team wise we have a great Team and the Day by ay preformance will decide.

Just keep the pressure on all the time. They wont have to make decisions. Hit the two headed monster hard. Benny you know what to do ;)

Its more like dont give them the Space to skate, its near the same as against the Rangers.
Btw Dallas is well known for their offensive Game not for their great defensive Game. So for the Oilers is this the best they could get room to skate, everything is open Ice.
That will be different on us, they only one who gives me really goosebumps in this Part, is Number 5. When he has to face maybe best skating Ability.

There's no containing McDrai. Imo, if Barkov is able to stay even with them ( neither scoring or both scoring the same amount )
Then that's absolutely a win. Even being slightly outscored, I'll consider that a win.

The 2nd line probably cancels each other out too Imo, our depth has to be the difference here. I do think we have the better 3rd and 4th lines. But it has to be enough to compensate for the possibility of their top lines outscoring ours

Gonna need Bobrovsky here too. He's better than Skinner, But I'm kinda scared of all the breakaway chances we've given. Oilers are exactly the type of players to capitalize on that. Even moreso than the Rangers.

Should be a hard series. The games can't come soon enough..

I’m an Oilers fan. I post on the Oilers board. No one the board thinks Oilers are going to run over the Panthers. None. Nobody in the Oilers local media thinks Oilers are going to run the panthers over. Most Oilers fans think this will be a long series and is a coin flip.

Also, just like to add, Edmonton fans are ranked as one of the warmest. Other Canadian fan bases hate us because oh the Oilers history of knocking them out of the playoffs. Vancouver Canuck fans are still calling into our local radio shows and trolling.

I just came here to say it’s going to be a great series and we are looking forward to it.
Really? I’m predicting we sweep 4-0, but maybe we get lazy or take a lot of penalties one game and the Oilers steal one.

It’s very smart of panthers players and Maurice to tell everyone how incredible McD and Drai are, that there’s no stopping them, needs to be a team effort, basically implying EDM is the favorite and we’re lucky to be here.

Basically confirming the “nice” Edmonton fans’ perspective that they’re unstoppable and the Cup is theirs to take if they so wish. Of course, because they’re the best.

When asked yesterday about Mcdavid PoMo said “I’m not going to talk about that”. Then later said “you can’t run around and chase one guy we are going to play the way we always play”.

So my early thoughts lean towards being more impressed with Oilers defense with the caviat being a up and down Skinner. The way our defense is constructed we have the best possible chances of containing their offense as we can. Mcdavid has speed so we will have to cut him down through the neutral zone.
PoMo says we have a strong defensive philosophy with a capability of being offensively aggressive when we have to.

Will the Oilers wilt and wear down as most teams have in a series where it’s shift after game after game…my guess is yes. You have to know that what the Oilers will face is something they can only experience and they will have not experienced what the Cats will lay upon them.

They say the Oilers are a team of destiny I don’t get where the Cats are not even more a team of destiny. Our players talked at training camp that they were on a mission after falling short last year. We walked the talk had a very good regular season and won our division …step 1

We pretty much dominated through the playoffs with a sole purpose to get back to the Cup and we are here. And player for player say this was what we expected to do and we are not finished.

Sounds like a team of destiny to me.

We're not a team of destiny. We're just that dirty cheating team from Florida with like 6+ bandwagon fans who don't even watch hockey.

They're a Canadian team. Their fans just want it so bad. They have mcjesus. It's inevitable that they bring the Cup "home."

A lot of the pundits seem to be picking Edmonton. We're the underdogs, which is fine.

Holy shit for as long as the Oilers have been around, they act like a bunch of teenagers. They have the 2 best players in the world, and cry because we dont worship them. For such a hockey loving city, and country, they really need to watch other teams play more. The nonsense they say about the Panthers clearly shows they have not watched us play, and do not have a clue as to what is coming the Oilers way.

learned a lot from them
Oetter (the best goalie in the league apparently), a third string goalie, and cam talbot >> Bob
Forsling is some AHL scrub who cant hold a candle to doughty and hughes
Barkov is overrated
Evander Kane is gonna publicly execute chucky and bennett
They weigh more on avg than us so theyre more physical. somehow
Weve apparently faced noone and the East is full of bums

"We’re a Canadian team and you think we don’t know our players? Friend, Oilers fans know about all players in the league and minor leagues."

Direct quote from that oilers fan who posted here a few pages back. We're just floridians, we just don't understand the game like those real edmonton folk do. f*** off.
