For selfish reasons only - I want the Oil because the first two games are at home June 8 and Jun 10, and then I’m off to Italy June 11 and I get back at 4 pm in Miami on June 20.
That is sooo weird because I am also off to Italy starting June 11, and back to Miami on June 22. Same selfish rooting. It was either get to go to zero games (Dallas) or 3 games (Oilers - 1 of them "if necessary")

Easier said than done though. Nobody can skate with him, that's the problem and you essentially have to choose your poison between him or Drai. Take away McDavid and he'll pass it to Drai who's a machine on the side wall scoring goals.
I think the Mike Tyson plan works against anybody. Including MickeyD.

“Everybody’s got a plan until they get hit in the face.”

ETA: a prime example was the PP goal yesterday. Heiskanen decided to play the puck instead of the man. Don’t get mesmerized by the flutter of the stick. Hit the guy, he isn’t Batman.

Bob on a weeks rest?

Panthers probably drop game 3 in Edmonton, but ultimately Panthers in 5.
Nice thing is hes prob better rested compared to last playoffs

That boston series was tough
Get peppered a lot vs toronto
Canes sent the kitchen sink at him
Plus a 4ot game followed up by another ot game, even though it was a sweep thats gonna be brutal on a goalie.

I think more than anyone he knows what happened last year and this is his last chance at a cup, prob get the best bob performance hes ever put on.

Bob for sure knows how to rest his body and mind he’ll probably meditate the whole week so he’s mentally good to go. Usually i’ve been kind of hesitant of bob but I trust he’ll be 110% ready.

We'll be the better team 5v5, again. Special teams will win or lose the series, can't go 0 for 14 on the PP like Dallas while allowing Edmonton hit 35%.
While im not sure on our pk vs them, which has been excellent, rangers pk was like best in the playoffs until they faced us.

Skinner vs reino out in front on the bumper play? Or chucky/barky out in front? Skinners not stopping that

If you have a choice it has to be McDavid. Staple Barkov-Reino and Forsling on him as much as you can, and hope for the best.

Yes he should’ve been put on his ass before ever getting a shot off. Guy was fishing for the puck, instead.

We were to shut down Kuch on their PP and Bruins PP, Rangers PP. We will be able to Do the same against Edmonton.

Their powerplay will be the best weve faced

Boston didnt have the firepower, tampa did and they were able to score at times but not be a game changer at least.

Bouchard seems to be their hedman
They dont have a stamkos but mcdrai will be a tough customer

McDavid is so much better than Kucherov and Pastrnak and whoever is considered dangerous on the Rangers that it isn't even funny.
Breakaways scare me, rangers ate our lunch almost everytime we made a mistake, gonna see a repeat even worse this series if we do

Haven’t watched much of the West games. How did Vancouver play Edmonton so well with their 3rd stringer?
Skinner was ass lol. Edmonton has had a few goals within 10 seconds of a PP ending but they've actually been good 5 v 5 as well but haven't faced a team with possession numbers as good as Florida. Silovs was fantastic and Skinner was benchworthy is how it went 7.

Florida can't stop McDrai, it's if a question of if they can hold them off enough where their depth is exposed. Like the Oilers 2nd line wings are Perry and McLeod and 3rd line is Holloway-Henrique-Kane, those 5 players have 18 points in 76 playoff games this year. Florida's equivalent, Bennett, Erod, Luo, Tarasenko, Lundell have 42 points in 80 games.

Panthers need to be good at home. Talked about this before, but it seems nobody ever considers situational factors anymore. East coast teams playing west/mountain time games with 8:30 puck drop is a problem for them.

This feels kind of surreal. My co-worker who retired a few years ago is a massive Oilers fan. We used to talk hockey all the time. Of course, this was when both teams were awful and drafting top picks all the time. Cool but weird I finally get to see these two face off in the Stanley Cup final.

I'm certainly not underestimating the Oilers. They have ridiculous firepower. But I'm confident in the Panthers getting it done in 6.

I think the games start 8 PM EST regardless of where they play. So in Edmonton, puck drops at 6 (5 my time). That wont really be a factor.

The team will likely just keep their body clock on eastern time
