That was the year they took Dallas to 7 games with Oettinger going supernova, they lost to the Oilers in the 2nd round in 5 games. The year before he came to Florida.

If they were mad, he left that offseason, that was his first 100+ point season with Lindholm and Gaudreau. Seeing as the team was still trying to sign him long term, those rumors may be a bit overstated.
