Here is to hoping he plays as listless as that quote indicates. If I was a Ranger fan (and thank God I am not), I would be livid right now.

Jesus, these guys don't have the mental fortitude to be hockey players. Lundqvist's quotes just baffle me. "At some point, you are going to need some puck luck and we don’t have any right now."

I mean, what the holy **** is he talking about?

Those answers essentially translate into "I don't know." They're completely demoralized.

If the Kings play the same game they did tonight in game four, it's a sweep.

The Devils had a little bit more swagger in 2012. I knew we wouldn't beat them in four, not with cagey vets like Brodeur and Elias on their team. And say what you want about Deboer, but he had a little better handle on his room in 2012, as well. AV has always been soft and it's showing.

The Rangers are in a real bad place mentally. They know if they get up a goal or two that this Kings team can come back on them like they are not used to. They also know that if the Kings get a lead, they can snatch the life out of them and shut the entire game down like last night. The have a VERY slim margin of error, even before you factor in that they are down 3-0.

This series isn't over yet, bet I continue to believe this Rangers team is the fourth best team the Kings have played

They're still better than the Ducks. There's no way that series should have gone 7.

Interesting vibe I'm getting from this thread. Everyone happy they won, sure. But compared to winning Game 3 against the Devils, it seems like everyone is just "yeah, well, one more still."

I don't know if it's you guys taking on the personality of the team, or the fact that for once it wasn't any drama whatsoever compared to the last 8 or 9 games or so.

I was basically terrified every time CHI entered the zone (well, not every time, but you get the picture). Also, seeing Kane handle the puck in the offensive zone is enough to give anyone nightmares for a month.

The Rangers...don't do anything for me at all. Seeing their offensive "thrust" (if you can call it that) is like watching grass grow. The breakaways have stopped because the Kings have adjusted. But even on breakaways and odd-man rushes I haven't really cared that much when its happening. I am just not impressed at all.

If you look at some of the goals the Rangers have scored in this series, a lot of it has to do with turning the puck over and making stupid plays. The Kings limited that to just about nothing in game 3, and you see how we dominated.

This team isn't even close to the fourth best team we have played this post-season. Or, a better way to put it is: you have:

1. CHI
2. ANA
3. SJS

4. NYR

Totally disagree.

Ducks were a constant offensive threat. You couldn't let up on them for one second. Game 7 notwithstanding, that was a tough series.

Do you forget we pulled game 1 out of our ass? And that they made us look god-awful at home in games 3 and 4?

I can't believe I'm defending the Ducks, but I'd take them in 6 over the Rangers. Like Ron said, the Rangers just don't possess much of a threat offensively. Clog the neutral zone, funnel the speed to the outside, and you are basically taking away the vast majority of the Rangers offense.

Its crazy to think about chi and la's dominance, IF the kings win the cup this year that means they combine for 4 oitta the last 5 cups....and no reason to think one of them won't be back in it next year too.wow.still 2 oitta 3 is still better than 2 outta 5.hahaha.suck it chi.lol

Kings are the most deserving team to win this cup...I have never seen so much adversity overcome in a single playoff year...hard to believe after watching 20+ seasons of kings hockey that we would come to this! Bring that cup home LA!!!:yo:

How about a little love for Clifford, the Big Red Dog? Great second effort to get the puck to Richards on goal #3. Beats two Rangers on that play to spring the 2-on-1. Sutter sent him out late in the game to reward his good play.

Lots of stuff out this morning but what I like best is our teams attitude of "4th game is the hardest to win". Such an act like you've been there before attitude. Champions attitude.

Its like that old joke about the two bulls sitting on the hill looking down at a pasture full of cows. One of them the younger bull says to the other, the older bull "Let's run down there and have sex with that cow" and the older bull looks at the younger one and says "No, lets walk down there and have them all".

Johnny Unitas.

Act like you've been there before and know what it takes to get there again.

Your the champions when there are no more teams left for you to beat.

Winning is the greatest thing that there is in any competition, everything else doesn't matter.

So want this cup and want to see the boys lift it up in MSG but I want the cup more than wanting to rub it in the faces of Rags fan. Just get it done and it doesn't matter how where or which game you do it in. Just win the cup.

Such a great life to be a Kings fan.

The Kings are proven winners. The Sharks are proven losers.

Our PP may not be very good but thank God we don't have Brad Richards QB'ing our PP.

That guy ****ing sucks.

Almost home. I want to see another gif worthy Darryl Sutter celebration. :yo:

Solid sweater, btw.

The face of a genius!

Seriously, so many props need to be given to Sutter right now. Rangers had the last change last night? Didn't notice. He has excelled at his adjustments each series. So far not as necessary this round, but we sure seemed to neutralize that speed last night. And those NY breakouts have severely diminished.

I give Sutter props for forming this attitude between our guys as well. That unity and heart has been the driving force behind our team. I got tingles last night hearing Richards talk about how they are like brothers, on and off the ice. They believe in each other, they motivate each other, they keep each other in check when needed. They've cultivated a family like bond that inspires each of them to want to be at their best, not for personal gain, but for the good of the team. That's why we see glorious moments like Quick going down the bench, rallying the troops in game 3 vs. SJ.

It meant even more coming from Richards, who was transplanted here against his will, and is now such a part of this team down to his core. I'd love to interview him and ask him what he would say to Richards of 2011 who was sending out disgruntled texts and most likely dreading his transfer. He was an integral piece of the puzzle that year. We wouldn't have won our first Cup (my God that sounds nice) without him and Carts. And that championship cemented the team's bond even more.

Imagine what this year's will do (if we pull it off) given how hard they had to fight and how much they had to draw from within themselves and each other to pull it off.

And we get this core for years to come. Yep. It's good to be the Kings.

Late to the party...worked late last night.....but wow... LA put on a defensive clinic last night... 0 for 6 on the PP, goalie pulled with 4:21 and they couldn't even get a shot off, Quick showed up. LA's defense showed up...this is what we're used to.

What I love more is that the Rags are just sitting there like all the other teams saying..

what just happened?

Live from New York, it's the LA Kings!!!

The LA Times has come a long way from 4 years ago when they had one beat writer assigned to the Kings and not even that on road games. They've had 3 regularly covering the playoffs and 4 now for the Final. Nice to see the representation the team deserves. Winning makes everything better - including coverage.

I wanted to make sure the Kings had enough mojo last night, so I snorted half and injected myself with the other half

There are some really sore butts on the Ducks board.

Let me guess -

"We would have beaten the Rangers if we made it."
"I can't believe we lost those last two games."
"The Kings have such a giant horseshoe up their ass."
"The refs are obviously Kings fans."
"I can't stand to see those smug bandwagoners win another Cup."
"**** the Queens."
"All the bounces are going LA's way."
"You had one job New York!"

Lotsa lucky bounces and the Kings get away with interference and the reffing is slanted the Kings way. Might check the amount of Pp time the rangers have had.

I don't know why Lundqvist is even a story after last game. Quick is the story. The Rangers didn't score. It doesn't matter that the King Advil let 3 goals in. The Rangers didn't score... Because of Quick. They should drop the Lundqvist **** unless he is expected to score goals too.

Anaheim, just like the other teams we beat to get here, feels like if only they beat us in game 7 instead of getting destroyed they'd be right here where we are, up 3-0.

I think it's still too soon for them to understand. Kings magic is unmatched. Maybe they'll get it next run ;)
