Love the Kings attitude - just won the game to go up 3-0 in the series. They hardly celebrated , that is championship maturity at its finest

And he's right, it's something the fans have been watching grow over these playoffs. It's something that Richards mentioned post game when he said how close this group is, how much they care about each other and that they're family and it gives them the confidence on the ice and faith in each other. Something that starts with Sutter (the papa bear) and has grown in each of them over these past 2 years.
It's really a very special group...and what that bond has become is as vital as any goal or save.

Kings Cup destiny date

I want them to put a stomping on the Rangers and step on their necks on Wed. After going the distance in the previous three rounds, I think it would be a great service to our collective health if they finished the job at MSG.

Damn, it feels good to be a gangster.

This was my happiest possible outcome tonight, Quick being Quick, 2012 model, and Lundqvist appearing average. Shots on goal were deceptive imo, not that NYR didn't get chances, but score effects and a parade of PPs.

Anyone can own a Twitter account. Even a piece of **** dirtbag **** with no decorum.

I feel like this is mod abuse directed at me! :P

Kings Cup destiny date

Mmm, beautiful. They're just so mellow, no one celebrating yet, all business. I'd be intimidated as hell if I were a Ranger right now.

I can't believe we are one freaking win away. So close, yet so far. Get it done, killer instinct like tonight...

The Kings reaction (or lack thereof) after the win tonight makes me think they learned after 2012 game 3 when they got a little full of themselves and couldn't finish the job in games 4 and 5. They look all business this go around.

While I'd love to see them win it at home again, a road win would be a nice bookend to 3 amazing seasons (and much easier on my wallet!).

Not trying to be dramatic, but I swear I thought I was watching Hasek tonight in goal for the Kings.

Quick was that good.

They can't get their tongues out of Girardis butt for his faceplant play but the truth is he slewfoots Gabby right before he goes all head down. Typical NYC crap

So want this win.

So want this cup.

Glad someone else saw that. That puck was just waiting to be tapped in, then Girardi kicks his leg out and Gabby no longer has control of his stick as he's falling back.

Trevor Lewis is involved on every 2 on 1 for the Kings because he's usually the guy who forced the turnover or picked off the pass, and is faster than everyone else not named Hagelin. The guy's a stud. Stone hands admittedly, still a stud.

The guy has good hockey IQ and great speed, if he had even half way decent hands the guy would be a constant 2nd liner. Think of a better Grabner.

The Kings played a good game tonight. I'm glad about that, going up 3-0. I should be excited, but I'm kind of disappointed tonight. To me it's not about gang-banging a prom queen or gloating over the Rangers' dejection. If the Kings had lost Game 7 to Anaheim I would still be just as proud of them. It wouldn't have made them chokers in my eyes.

The joy for me is in seeing my team win, yes, but also seeing them so united, seeing the joy on their faces, seeing them dig down deeper than I thought was possible. Their mental strength these playoffs is something that I will take as inspiration for the rest of my life, sappy as that sounds. But the Rangers have fought hard too and battled back from 1-3 in a series, banded together, and given their all as well. I'm proud of the victories, but the Cup means something because of the struggle involved to get it. The resilience after defeat, the graciousness after victory.

I think the biggest strength of the Kings is their mental fortitude. It's what they have that most other clubs are lacking. Every team has skilled players that are good enough to win a Cup, but not every team has the mental strength that is vital to go the distance and survive the peaks and valleys. We are lucky in that the Kings have it all and that has to be credited to Lombradi and Sutter. Lombardi cherry picked the guys who already had this strength and put them in the same room. Sutter refined it and made it their identity. After watching this group come into form from the Terry Murry days to the Sutter era, it's been an amazing journey. You never see this team ***** about bad calls after the game, especially in the Playoffs. I actually think the last time I remember them complaining was when Murray was still coach. And even then they were rounding the corner and saying that you can't let that bad call be the one that decides the game for you. That they needed to play better to wash it out and not worry about the refs. This group figured that out years ago and yet our competition still hasn't learned.

The Blues are a mentally weak team. The Sharks are a mentally weak team. The Coyotes are a mentally weak team. The Canucks are a mentally weak team. And clearly the Rangers are a mentally weak team.

Chicago is a winner. They said the right **** after every loss and they know what's up. However it was telling to hear Toews talk after their elimination and say that they felt they needed to get a 3 goal lead to win. He also described the 3-1 hole as "insurmountable". That right there shows you that the Kings finally got in their heads for once. I also remember Towes saying that to get back in the series that had to stop worrying about calls not going their way and the Kings closing the gap every time the Hawks started to pull away. And look what happened, it took a crazy goal in OT to finally put the Hawks away. They got their heads on straight and made it the true Stanley Cup Final.

As for the Ducks, they are closer to Chicago than some may think. They are going to be a lot of trouble down the road. I just don't think BB is the guy to lead them to their next Cup. He's not mentally strong enough. Way too many demons of Playoffs past in his head.

By comparison, cut to the "King of Nothing" crying his ass off after Game 2. Right there I knew the Rangers were on their death kneel. Soft in the head they are. And it's to be expected considering who their coach is.

One more win. I can feel it. Go Kings Go!

I don't want to sound arrogant but, this game bored me to tears almost. We actually played the game we're known to play and the rags couldn't even come close to matching us. We play bad...we win, we play our game...we destroy them.

Let's give them the death blow on Wednesday and put them out of their misery.

I couldn't agree more, especially in regard to Chicago. As much as I hate them now having played the rags, I have even more respect for Chicago.

I touched on having a champions mentality before the game today and I was told to go pound sand basically by the main board. You got it right doc, mentality is important. This team has it, rags do not.

And if you pause it right HERE... you can actually see the moment that Rangers fans' hearts broke...

Not sure where you are getting the shot totals but we had 87 shots against Lundqvist in the first two games. So it should be 102 shots.

If we win the cup, please tell me we don't become crazed about the term "dynasty" like the Chicago board & co. Let's just keep winning cups, who cares about labels :P

I'd be too busy losing my mind to even start with it...not to mention making a new avatar.

But I won't get ahead of myself... still gotta win 1 more.
