If we win the cup, please tell me we don't become crazed about the term "dynasty" like the Chicago board & co. Let's just keep winning cups, who cares about labels :P

But you must admit it's a very nice thought to maybe have a dynasty from a non traditional market. Just to wag it in the face of all those that think we don't deserve a team.
Having said that I agree. Who cares just win.

I can't believe that we are ONE WIN away from a 2nd Cup in three years. I'll be telling my kids about this period and what it was like to live though it. This is the golden age of Kings hockey. Soak it all in guys and gals. It's pretty damn amazing.

I'm tired of hearing how unlucky Lundqvist is to be conceding deflected goals. We are not hearing about the deflections not going in with Quick in goal. The reason is Quick is more aggressive on the shooter smothering the angle so even if it is deflected the angle favours the goalie. Whereas Lundqvist plays deeper so the trajectory change of the deflection has more chance to get beyond him. About time they pointed out that technical difference as they've been happy to talk about the downside of aggressive goaltending.

I cant believe how mentally defeated "THE KING" is with all his excuses, whining and crying. But then again, nearly every opponent since 2012, with the exception of the blackhawks, have run into the kings juggernaut and ended up CRYING like he is right now.

Need a tissue for your tears, King? lol.

Something is wrong with Lundqvist, he is playing like he doesn't trust his defense.

Typical case of trying to do too much. Quick was guilty of that in this post season as well.

Notice how Quick looked like he was in control all night, he just looked relaxed.

I love how the Kings completely silenced MSG. This was a complete 60-minute effort, and I'm glad that every stupid story the media tries to make a big deal of, like the Kings not playing with a lead for however many minutes/games, was silenced. In the previous game they talked about the Rangers being 10-0 when leading after two periods. How'd that work out for them?

They were also talking about both Richards' being buy-out candidates. Is anyone seriously thinking Mike will be bought out now? He's stepped up his play in the Final and has been a beast on the PK for the entire series.

Game 4 is going to be huge. I feel like the Kings scoring the 1st goal will really plant the seed of doubt in the heads of the Rangers (if they haven't already done so). Watching the post game presser of Vigneault, I'm not sure I have seen a coach sound so flustered and defeated.

He plays deep in his net, and the Kings have exposed that. They've also exposed the Rangers' weak defense with their aggressive fore check. I also love how they've made Pierre's golden boy McDonagh look like Aki Berg at times. He was terrific in earlier rounds and the Olympics, but oh man has he been all over the place against the Kings, in a bad way.

AV is a good coach, his problem is honesty. He knows he doesn't have an answer for LA's depth.

Sutter would simply BS his way through it, or make a sarcastic remark(Toews is the best ever).

Funny thing about McDonagh. He gets ton of praise for the Games. But if you have it on DVR. Actually go back, and watch him in that Bronze Medal game.

Easily the worst defender on the ice. Fowler was the only guy trying to play and keep pucks and bodies away from Quick.

That game against Finland was a mess for everyone. Nobody showed up to play. After the disappointment of the 1-0 loss to Canada, seemed like none of them could be bothered to perform in the bronze medal game, which was a shame.

But yeah, McDonagh seems to have suffered from the same symptoms P.K. Subban had against the Rangers in the Eastern Conference Final. They looked stellar in the previous round (McDonagh vs. Habs, Subban vs. B's), played over their heads, and then came crashing back down to Earth when faced against a formidable foe.

And I would say the Kings do a damn good job scouting the opposition. All series long we kept hearing about the Rangers' speed, and we did see glimpses of that, but today the Kings shut that down.

I'm honestly baffled at the complaining by Rags fans about "obstruction".

Do they not have checking in their games? Do they believe physical defense should be against the rules? Do they politely get out of the way and let the opposing team pursue pucks? I mean, we all know the interference rules; it isn't like the Kings are skating side to side to block them, or literally grabbing them by the jersey. They stay in their line as they are entitled and just give them a stiff-arm or push before turning around to pursue the puck. Do they really believe that should be called interference? I thought hockey was supposed to be physical, a little pushing on defense is something you fight through, but they seem to think that's too rough. It's like they want to play Flag Hockey or something. Truly bizarre.

Oh by the way...

Wednesday is June 11th.....

2 years ago on that date. Yup.

A silly as it is, I really hope this motivates the boys to get it done on Wed.

The Kings played a good game tonight. I'm glad about that, going up 3-0. I should be excited, but I'm kind of disappointed tonight. To me it's not about gang-banging a prom queen or gloating over the Rangers' dejection. If the Kings had lost Game 7 to Anaheim I would still be just as proud of them. It wouldn't have made them chokers in my eyes.

The joy for me is in seeing my team win, yes, but also seeing them so united, seeing the joy on their faces, seeing them dig down deeper than I thought was possible. Their mental strength these playoffs is something that I will take as inspiration for the rest of my life, sappy as that sounds. But the Rangers have fought hard too and battled back from 1-3 in a series, banded together, and given their all as well. I'm proud of the victories, but the Cup means something because of the struggle involved to get it. The resilience after defeat, the graciousness after victory.

I understand about carrying the attitude/inspiration into real life. I was told today by a friend "You don't get too high when things are going well, or too low when things are going bad, just like the Kings". I took it as a high compliment.

I'd be too busy losing my mind to even start with it...not to mention making a new avatar.

But I won't get ahead of myself... still gotta win 1 more.

I hope our current avatars keep working their magic on Wednesday!

"Try looking in that place you dare not look! You'll find me there, staring out at you!"

Truth, Kings are the better team. Deal with it.

Edit: After reading the NJ thread... a win Wen's gets Gaborik on MSG ice with a cup. Get it done.

Dynasty lite? :sarcasm:

I just want to beat every team every year. What's that called?

Kings have been great, but they'd need to finish off this one and next year's cup as well before they can be considered a dynasty. 3 cups in 4 years would be a dynasty for sure.

However 2 cups in 3 years is basically unfathomable already to me. It wasn't that long ago I thought winning a single cup in my LIFETIME (ie between 1989 and 2080) would have been just unreal.

I did say dynasty lite  and was mostly joking, for what it's worth. I think "dynasty" is kind of like "good looking". It's embarrassing if it's a label you give yourself, but feels so good coming from others. Being so sick of hearing Blackhawks fans bring it up every other thread this year makes me just want to relish the fact that we are just as close (if not closer) than they are.

I'm with you on those feelings of how unreal this is though. And we get the same core for awhile :handclap: Its good to be the Kings.

Did anyone here go to the game 3? I am wondering how bad the MSG crowd is towards Kings fans right now?

I am going to try and get a ticket for Wed if the prices hit my price range. I went to game 5 of the 2012 SCF in NJ and the Devils fans were easy to get along with, no one got in my face and of course I had to hear it when we lost the game.

Rangers fans are literally delusional. Like, I don't even know where to begin. I thought it didn't get worse than Canucks and Ducks fans, but this Rags fanbase on HF is just on an entirely different level.

They are literally tripping over themselves defending Lundqvist, saying crap like the Rangers wouldn't have made the finals if they had Quick in net, Lundqvist is more important to their franchise than Richter was, etc. It's total insanity.

For all the hype Lundqvist gets, not only has he been thoroughly beaten on the ice, but his true character has been exposed this series. Nothing has gone his way in his mind, he's spent more time whining about calls and sulking in post game pressers. Guy is just a sore loser no matter how you cut it.

Only goes to show how special of a goaltender Jon Quick is, and it goes far beyond the stat sheet. Most people are either too ignorant or don't have the insight to see it, but Quick is a once in a generation goaltender.

All you have to is look back at that game two against the Sharks to learn everything you need to know about Quick. He was getting absolutely torched, playing like crap and playing behind a team of crap. Absolutely no quit, skates up and down the bench hyping everyone up, and is the LAST player off the ice.

Henrik Lundqvist would NEVER do that. And I mean never. Guy has always been a pampered primadonna living in the lap of luxury in NYC's celebrity culture and he's been EXPOSED. For as technically perfect as Lundqvist can be, if he had one ounce of Quick's heart he'd have multiple Cups by now, no matter the team in front of him.

Rangers fans just can't deal with it. They were convinced their team wasn't as outmatched as everyone said they were and they were hilariously wrong. A clearly gassed Kings team is still up 3-0.

God damn I love this team. One more boys. DO IT.

Don't worry, the Rangers and their fans will descend back into the shadows and disappear after this series. Unfortunately I have to live surrounded by them and their fans.

Not sure where you are getting the shot totals but we had 87 shots against Lundqvist in the first two games. So it should be 102 shots.

You are right, I switched the two, lol. Revised numbers coming up. Thought they were somewhat skewed.

That's what happens when you are half asleep and putting complex (not) math together ...

Sorry about that...

Brad Richards: "We have to play the next game on Wednesday, it's on the schedule"

Here is to hoping he plays as listless as that quote indicates. If I was a Ranger fan (and thank God I am not), I would be livid right now.

Jesus, these guys don't have the mental fortitude to be hockey players. Lundqvist's quotes just baffle me. "At some point, you are going to need some puck luck and we don’t have any right now."

I mean, what the holy **** is he talking about?
