Who do you actually give the Conn Smythe to with this Vegas team though? Nobody really stands out to me.

I'd give it to Stephenson. But you can make a case for a bunch of different guys, and also nobody really...all at once. They've just leaned on so many different players at different stages of the playoffs.

I would give it to Eichel. Fantastic 1C play in his first playoffs. Not gaudy counting numbers like Draisaitl or McDavid but I've watched every Vegas game and he's been getting it done everywhere. Been very intelligent with the puck, knows when to hang on to it and when to make a quick one touch pass. Really really quality off the puck as well.

There was good reason the Knights gave up as much as they did in that trade.

The scrum that only happened because Vegas jumped a guy for a clean hit?
Well no matter how clean a hit is, you have to stand up for your teammates otherwise you get criticised for being 'soft' and not responding after one of your guys gets knocked down. Vegas is letting Florida know that they aren't intimidated by them one bit and will fight back when challenged.

I think Gudas will be back next game. He's an animal.
He probably wants to, but it says something that he's out for the game. It's a bit like Hornqvist who was a bottom six monster for us. Got hit in the head and hasn't been back since October. Just, personally, never cheer for injuries, whoever it is.

people are having a hard time figuring this out. The hit was clean; the penalties were given for the scrum afterward because it's 4-0 and the refs are trying to keep the genie in the bottle.
anything can happen. It’s the f***ing Stanley Cup not game 82 between two eliminated teams

taking Tkachuk out of the game stopped Florida having a prayer o coming back

When a player like Tkachuk or Trouba comes at you like that I think you should bail and try to take them out at the knees with your body. Absolutely kill them like they were trying to kill you.
Lol so do something dirty for someone making a clean hard hit? How about don’t skate through the middle of the ice with your head down in a Stanley cup final.

It certainly wasn’t Tkachuk being a peacemaker.
Several guys went after him and he was standing up for himself. If you give Tkachuk 10, you should give out 3 or 4 more 10’s.

Look again. He looked like Usain Bolt jumping off from the starting point. Can't stride that much into a guy and then check him.
You’re incorrect. It wasn’t charging. Like at all.

That was bad luck for Eichel on that hit. If he’s gone for the series it might get interesting

Tkachuk doing what he can. This is on Bob and Barkov has been a ghost since round one.

Somebody is sulking that his buddy got traded to Calgary still...

Yeah I think the main issues are

1. Game isn’t over
2. Last time one team initiated a scrum and took more liberties in it they ended up on a 4 minute PK

Agree. The penalties are a different issue, but, however clean, when your top player gets rocked like that, a response is expected.

There's a shitbag rat in Boston you may like. Used to lowbridge people looking to hit him all the time. Did it once to one of the kindest humans on the planet causing a head injury too. FOH with this mentality.

I'm not sure if that's a fair lesson to lay out in Stanley Cup Finals, or in elimination state hockey.

if am VGK I don't risk Eichel for the 3rd period even if he is good to go. You are up 4-0; panthers are no doubt going to goon it up.

goal for VGK is to play out the 20 mins and go up 2-0 and avoid any physical harm

Stone or Hill.

Stone has come through in all the big moments, I think his case has been a little understated. The way Hill is playing in this series so far it could take it.
