They have the most penalties so far in these playoffs.

2nd most penalized team in the regular season this year
4th more penalties in regular season in the past 10 years all teams combined (since 2014-2015 season)

So - staying out of the box isn't exactly their thing...
They have an excellent PK which typically affords them taking some liberties.

Doing it against the Oil is playing with fire, though. Should be one of the storylines. Will the Panthers vaunted PK be able to contain the Oilers vaunted PP too? Will they be too careful to avoid penalties? Will the refs put the whistles away?

Get cable. Or fibe. Just get rid of the rabbit ears TV and watch more hockey. They have really good deals these days. You can actually watch games OUTSIDE of Alberta.

Bennett is a douche, sure, but the Cats play in the same division as Reaves and Jeannot, and just finished a series with Rempe. Any of those guys would mop the floor with anyone on the Oilers. Imagine thinking Florida will be intimidated by the Oilers.

Stop talking tough. You're embarrassing yourself. Take a deep breath, leave the basement, get a Slushie and go play outside.
The internet exists. But thanks for the tips.

Hahahah Reevrs on the soft Leaf’s. Dudes more worried about keeping his spot in the lineup than making hockey violent again. Jeannot bent the knee cause the entire Lightning team did too. The regressed and irrelevent Bolts that even the Leaf’s could beat.

It can be, plus different time zones, when you're playing with only a days rest.
There's no jet lag effect crossing 2 time zones (MT to ET) even if you did it every day with no rest in between.

Also, it's not as if these young pro athletes are experiencing the discomfort and (no matter what class you're traveling) the unavoidable hassles of airline flying. They walk-on/walk-off their aircraft at the airports' private aircraft facilities with no long waits, slogs, or queuing and the aircraft themselves are outfitted with domestic 1st class seating, amenities, and service throughout.

Unless you think walking into and sitting in your own living room is tough, there's very few people on earth traveling with fewer hassles or in more comfort.

Are people still hung up on the Oilers being PP merchants so much that they forget they are 5v5 merchants too?

Oilers had 193 5v5 goals in reg szn, 39 in POs
Florida had 156 5v5 goals in reg szn, 31 in POs
We scored 268 goals in the regular season, 100+ PP goals we did not score, lol, or we would be the best PP team of all time

The Oilers are the top 5 on 5 scoring team in the playoffs. Scored 8 more than Florida.
And almost 40 more in the regular season.

Serious question. Do Leaf fans hate the Oilers because McDavid is better than their golden goose?
Meh, that's not really a slight. McDavid is better than anyone's golden goose. There's a very real chance that the best two players to ever play the game will end up being Oilers.

It's more of a Canada thing. Personally, I will never cheer for another Canadian team to win. Like, ever. MAYBE Calgary, just because the gave us Doug Gilmour for Gary Leeman.

It’s more sour grapes cause they felt they “deserved” McDavid at the draft. Thank god McDavid dodged that bullet.

Why are Oilers fans talking about the Leafs right now is another good question about this Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers

Really enjoy being the "underdog" here, like we were in the Dallas series. I think high expectations get to this team's head, like we saw early in this season. The first 15 games looked like a team that had been huffing their own farts all summer. They know they're going to have to go out there and work for every inch, and that's when they're playing their best.

Yup, they sure do.

It should be a fun matchup with one of the best defensive teams vs best offensive team.

And low-key, Panthers are also one of the best offense and Edmonton has been one of the best defenses (on PK especially).

Florida will not be harder then the Stars, think they up for a really check after going up against aging Eastern teams.

McDrai on a mission and the depht has responded great, even Skinner has leveled up lately.
