I 'think' I have this right.

Here are all the Game 7's for the Cup.

Road team has won 3 times. Or did I miss a few?

Road team 3 wins
Home team 9 wins

Oilers went from a 0 percent chance to a 25% chance. I'll take that all day long to be honest but I do think Game 7 favors Florida.
The Oilers have absolutely dominated since the 3rd period of game three. The games are not even close and the Panthers look demoralized. NHL series rarely if ever play out like this so we can probably throw out historical game 7 stats.

Oilers are a far better team. Shoukd never have been down 3-0.
They almost choked.
Panthers did well to take a far better team to game 7.
Im not going to say we are the FAR better team....

But I agree with the should never have been down 3-0. The one thing you don't want to do to the Oilers this year is playing them after they've lost 3 in a row. they've gone 8-0, 16-0 and 5-0 after 3 losses in a row this year. Skinner is also 10-0 in elimination games this year.

How is there note more chatter about the offside review in this thread? Are we seriously all OK with this??
It is ruining the league. I honestly don't even care about game 7 after that call.

It makes no sense whatsoever. I've never bought into to conspiracy or corruption, but there is something fishy about that one.
offside is a black and white rule, there's no room for interpretation. A play is offside or not. There are no degrees to the rule. It's not a conspiracy, the play was offsides, the overhead view showed it 100%. There is literally nothing else to add. The play was offside. Period.

Are you really complaying that the league should not call it's rules just because it may upset some Florida fans?

The overhead view clearly shows it was offside. It was conclusive.

Wonderful narrative.

If Edmonton loses in game 7 they ride off beautifully on their steed in to the sunset and cement themselves as the greatest 2nd place in NHL history.

The point remains that they either win and are truly legendary, or they lose and they don't get legedary status. That's how sports works and the 2011 Canucks are a perfect example- they are not legendary.
At this point, although I've been rooting for Fla, I kinda want McDavid to get his cup and the monkey off his back. A guy with his talent will not be respected historically as much as his talent dictates without a title. This may certainly be the closest he comes. Ask Dan Marino

Sure it was very close, but the zoomed in view, overhead angle, showed it was definitely offside.
There was nothing fishy, and I wasn’t even sure after watching slow mo, but the freeze frame proved it was offside.

he's still -2 in every loss!

Not that I put much stock in +/- has a stat. But I would expect the best defensive forward ever to not be -2 for 3 straight games
He's in it by himself. The team as a whole looks slow and bedraggled.

I thought Fla physical play would wear Oilers down but it seems Oilers resilience and team speed have worn down Fla

And Boston had better with Swayman and still lost.
Bob had a couple bad games against Rangers......Panthers still won.
Panthers didn't lose 3 game because of Bobrovsky.
Take a look at Montour, Reinhardt, Verheage. Terrible.
If they well....not great. Just well.....Cup would be in their hands last week.

No more quippy, smarmy or whitty replies from Maurice. Deer in the head lights.
 Alot of energy in your post.
What about a just well, not great but just well Zibanejad and Panarin play, maybe cup would be in the Rangers area.... or Dallas with just a bit, not great but just a bit of luck, maybe the same could be said.
3 goals on 15 shots last game.... 5 and 8 goal in the 2 previous game! Still staying by what I said.... would have been fun to have Bob's game. Not saying Bruins would have won, but their chances would have been better!
Now enough of quippy, smarmy or whitty replies from Maurice. Deer in the head lights.

Oh and Go Oilers! just gaining me more and more. Love their fan group!

As a Canadian I want Edmonton to win the cup for sure, Oilers fans deserves it way more then Florida where for many years the building was empty and then all of a sudden when the team is good you see all those Panthers fans jumping on the bandwagon and I guarantee you as soon as the Panthers start to be bad again all those "fans" won't give a shit about the Panthers and the building will empty again. On the other hand the building was always full in Edmonton even when the Oilers were at the bottom the standings. Edmonton really care and love their Edmonton Oilers and that's true in all Canadian markets. Let's go Oilers!!!
Fans vote with their wallets and there are lots of things to do in Florida.

If owners want butts in seats, they’ll ice a competitive product and the league will be better for it.

!I was calling offside before they even scored at full speed it looked to be further offside then it did in the replay but after seeing the overhead view they got the call right. Wonder why they aren't more actively showing that view maybe to create something for the media to talk about but seeing it you can clearly see it is offside. Nice to see one go the Oilers way after the series against the ducks with the goalie interference

A List of Panthers playing great

1. Barkov
Erod.

Game 7 is a toss. The ice sucks at Sunrise/BB&T (I refuse to call it the new name) so advantage Panthers.

Heat, Marlins, Miami Hurricanes, and F1 dominate down there. I couldn't find a Barkov jersey a few years ago and had to settle for a Giroux shirt at the OUTLET MALL next to the arena. I could buy any other local sports team gear. Crazy. This was the playoffs too.

At this point I don't even care wh wins the cup. I'd prefer it to not be Florida but we just saw one of the single greatest series comebacks in modern history among North America's big 4 sports.

As a sports fan, a hockey fan. This has been an incredibly memorable series.

That being said, the Oilers hoisting the cup in Florida would be amusing as hell. If nothing else but to see Zito throwing water bottles, Tkachuks family crying and the comments about "we don't want to win game 4 in Edmonton because where would we celebrate, the mall?" tossed back in the faces of some smug fans

I don't get what the Panthers are doing. They are playing with no neergy, no heart. Thackut, Bennet, Reinhard, Verhage are not doing squat. There isn't one area in their game that they are doing well in the last 3 games. Bottom line Edmonton will hoist the Cup and Florida will make history by committing the greatest meltdown of all time in any sport.

Winnipeg says hi
To a guy worth 55 billion when the Thrashers were locked out of their arena with no other options. I'm arguing that league isn't conspiring to help the Oilers in the playoffs.

HF boards only cares about money puck stats.

Reminds me of Denny Potvin telling Sports Illustrsted that if the Rangers won a cup, they'd parade down Broadway and if the Islanders won they'd parade down Old Country Rd

I said it earlier in this very thread but Edmonton skates teams into the ground. Every series has been the same as it went on. The only team that gave us a push in a late game was Dallas.

Getting no zone entry by skating. Need to dump and hit. Edmonton is dominating neutral zone
