I really thought McDavid would show up and win today then lose the next one.

I know EDM fans don't want to hear it but I appreciate not blaming the refs as much.

It seems like you finally realized that you are just overmatched. Major props to you.

I have NO DOUBT McDavid will win a cup in EDM. Need goalie help and another puck moving D man.

I do not want any panther fan to think that Tampa has anything to do with your success.

You guys are playing elite level hockey...but a little part of me wants to believe that you learned playoff hockey from playing against us. You saw...you did what you needed to...just let me have that little bit. Barkov is fing amazing.
Oh definitely. The Panthers learned a lot from that 2022 series.

I agree but that's how he plays. Maybe he will adjust in game 4, but this team is the worst matchup for his style , and how he likes to start breakouts too. Panthers feast on that kind of play.
The Oilers for the last 20 years have been about making the pretty goal.....it is infuriting.

Hell, the crowd used to yell "shoot" when they would set up the box and make 9,000 passes....granted that was in the Hemske days. But there is something in the DNA of the Oilers it seems that dictates this.

He's not wrong. Oilers have been the better team in 2 out of the 3 games. Oilers have outshot the Panthers 86 to 62 this series

As I said, sometimes the better team doesn't win the series. Luck factors into hockey more than any other sport. The sooner fans realize this the better.
Oilers turn it over a lot. Just because a team toss a bunch of shot at the net does not make them better.

Florida is making them spit up the puck a lot. Nurse tonight with a brutal turnover.

Usually better teams make fewer mistakes.
That pretty much applies to all sports

Hard lessons learned by the club in crushing losses to the Bolts

Remember all the jeering and idiocy regarding the Leafs losing in 5 games to this Florida team last year?

2 of the games were in OT.

Toronto had as many power plays in 5 games as Edmonton has had in 3 thus far.

I remember all the dummies trashing Toronto for their performance in that series.

Seems like Florida is just a really strong team after all, and Bobrovsky simply lost his mojo against Vegas....

Nah, last year lost in SCF is not because of Bob shits the bed in the final. VGK knows how Cats play and beat them at their own game. The reason why VGK slums out this year is because of injuries mostly. At their best, they are toe to toe with the Cats.

0-10 on the PP. Does FL have anything to do with that? Yes or no? One word answer.

The Oilers overachieved, just like during their 16 game win streak in the regular season. Now they’ve come back down to earth and have ran out of puck luck.
that 16 game winning streak has an asterisk as far as im concerned :naughty:

They "dusted" the Canucks in a series that saw Soucy suspended, Demko not available, Pettersson M.I.A and a 3rd string rookie goaltender in net and only won by 1 goal.

Oiler fans are delusional, complaining about the refs

PPs were 3 - 1 tonight

Here's the whole list of why the series is 3-0

1) Refs are favoring the Panthers
2) Panthers are diving all over the ice
3) Panthers are faking injuries to get sympathy from the league
4) Panthers suck, Bobrovsky is saving them from an onslaught
5) Oilers are playing injured
6) Panthers are slashing our players
7) Nurse, Skinner & Ceci
8) Panthers are wrestling our players after the whistle
9) etc

Very little about their coach's inability to adjust to the Panthers game plan, Knob is just using the same one dimensional plan he used in the regular season, also very little criticism of the lack of defense from McDrai, and Drai's invisibility in the finals along with Hyman.

So the Oilers could get swept here and you would still see them as 'the better team'? Every team deals with puck luck, the Oilers are losing this series because they can't keep up 5 on 5 and their PP has gone quiet.

I’ve never seen a team get luckier than the Oilers in this playoffs. First they get matched up against arguably the worst team in the playoffs with LA, then they face the Canucks who lost their starter for the entire series and then their best goal scorer for Game 7. Then Dallas plays without their #1C for the first 3 games and Tanev played Games 5 and 6 with one foot.

Now that they’re facing a healthy team for the first time this playoffs, they’re gettting exposed

Ppl are forgetting this is the Panthers first time outside of the Eastern Time Zone in almost 3 months. these guys are going to be super jet lagged and are not used to the elevation either. Feel like the series could turn around on Saturday.
A 2hr time zone change is not the circadian rhythm destroyer you might think it is. On average it's one day of recovery per time zone shift. Panthers should be more than fine by Saturday.
