Draisaitl leaving his feet and delivering a headshot that takes the player out of yhe game (tbd if barkov is out for any time) a 2 game suspension is a no brainer. When I think about Reilly getting 5 games for what he did, and all the outrage here crying for "at least 10" and "should be 20". Fans got the league they deserve. A wildly inconsistent, hypocritical, idiotic NHL.

People seem to think the Panthers are going to go out there and throw flying elbows at McDavid and Draisatl. I actually don't think they will. IMO, even if Barkov misses games (or even the rest of the series), the Panthers are going to try to grind out two more wins by staying out of the box.

Everyone says the Panthers are the dirtiest team, etc. etc., but they have been pretty disciplined since game 3 of the Lightning series in this playoff. I don't think you're going to see anybody hunting a major penalty, even if the game gets out of hand.

2024-25 regular season, though? Yes, I would say the Oilers might want to healthy scratch Schnitzel boy for that one.

Can't disagree. TOR underperformed. BOS, NYR, and CAR choked.

TB is top heavy and old, they are like the Toby Keith song, Good As I Once Was... For one or two games, they can play with the best, than the age kicks in (I am a Bolts fan).

Than the also-ran train of MTL, OTT, BUF, PHI, and PIT.

I really can't argue that overall the West has been much better hockey.

Teams seem to be better at focusing on winning in playoffs vs sending a message in the SCF up 2 games to 0

The Cats don't need a fight to get at Drai. Cousins, or Bennett, can easily tag him with a clean hockey play (as Oilers fans suggest the Drai on Barkov play was) and get even that way

Toronto beat that “Propped up Florida team” last year in 6 games in the playoffs. Funny how that works. The same team that won back to back Cups the season before. Yeah… real funny how that works.

I know every team has dirty players and Florida definitely has its share too but that play by a top player like Draisaitl against Barkov, the best player in the series, makes it easy to cheer against Edmonton.
Hope Barkov is ok. You never like to see any player injured but especially a star player as a result of a cheap shot.

Compared to the west, the east is a joke this season.

The same team that had played more hockey than anyone else over the previous 3 seasons? And then tell me what happened.. the Cats sneezed and the Leafs pissed their pants and rolled right over.

The east is a joke. Teams like Colorado and Vegas would've had an easy path to the conference finals if they got to play cupcake teams like Toronto or Carolina or NYR, instead of being locked in to matchups vs each other & Dallas

What Pietrangelo did to Draisaitl a few years ago was worse and he only got a game.
