Sorry you couldn’t watch the game, was a good oneAs someone else said, it’s quicker for you to just say you didn’t watch the games rather than outting yourself like this
They really only had two, Nurse/Ceci.
Unfortunately when those two are together, they’re a one tandem game ruining pairing.
I have no idea why EDM coach would go back to them, there’s never a single positive that comes out of it
Got to agree. McDavid knows for him to move into the tier with the all time greats he needs to lead his team to the Cup.McDavid is an ATG, I think he knows whats required of him to win this series, I fully expect a signature performance in game 2 and the rest of the series, guy is simply too good, you think he knows his legacy isn't in the balance? Bob was awesome in Game 1, this is going 6 or 7.
He is a huge x factor. That guy is so good it's hard to imagine him not winning, but he needs to figure out how to score first. His zone entry and speed are tiers above everyone else. He is just an all around amazing athlete and hockey player. He can change directions instantly. It's crazy how much better he is than everyone else. I saw people saying he was invisible, but he was very visible to me. Dude is a beast.McDavid is an ATG, I think he knows whats required of him to win this series, I fully expect a signature performance in game 2 and the rest of the series, guy is simply too good, you think he knows his legacy isn't in the balance?
No, the Panthers most definitely got caved in. Truly committed, as you said.Imo the Oilers didn’t get “caved in” as you suggest. Their top guys just expect they will score on the PP so play a bit soft at evens. They didn’t get “caved in” though. Their goalie just missed on a couple.
Oh. I see. You’re implying the Oilers played their best while the Panthers played their worst. No, the Panthers most definitely got caved in. Truly committed, as you said.
I actually just saw Barkov beeing quicker than McJesus on the 1st goal. McJesus giving some effort could have prevented the goal, but he obviously was saving some strenght? You can just tell us you didn't watch the game, it's quicker.
I meanOh. I see. You’re implying the Oilers played their best while the Panthers played their worst.
This site needs a dislike button. Honestly, how are shot blocking, winning faceoffs, and all the defensive effort the Panthers displayed last night not a commitment to winning?Really? Then how many guys besides Bob did the Panthers have committed to winning?
Did you even read the post I was quoting? If you did, you missed the point. This site needs a dislike button. Honestly, how are shot blocking, winning faceoffs, and all the defensive effort the Panthers displayed last night not a commitment to winning?
I'm sticking to my Oilers in 5 prediction, with McDavid scoring double digit points.
Game 1 was always going to be a write-off regardless of who won, after such a ridiculously long break. I think game 2 is going to set the tone for the rest of the series. And I say Edmonton breaks through
McDavid is always at or near the top in ES scoring but sure.. he’s just a PP merchantImo the Oiler top guys need to score when they have the PP. They are just average at evens. They are dash players 5 on 5.
All of them. They won. No one remembers to losers.
Did you see the third period?surprised by Florida getting dominated?
I know as a Canucks fan you’ve never actually seen it happen for your team, but sometimes on the way to the Cup a goalie will stonewall everything coming at him.Sorry you couldn’t watch the game, was a good one
I think you really have to question is their coach is ready for these moments if he puts Ceci and Nurse back together. The Panthers demonstrated that they had a bigger desire when it came to the little details of the game than the majority of the Oilers. Every time the Oilers tried to forecheck, the Panthers had a forward, who was already back, in the way to break up the straight line towards the defenseman/puck. They were constantly interfering and stick checking and it was working because they weren't getting the regular season type penalties on them for doing so.
The Oilers did none of that, and allowed the Panthers to beat them down physically and do whatever they wanted to on their forecheck.
Bobrovsky played amazing no doubt but the Oilers need to be better with their locations of shots.
Draisaitl looked slow as f*** last night. I don't know if he's injured, tired, or something else, but he was not good.
Kane was also horrible. Looked slow, and was bailing out on making plays rather than taking the hit or giving the hit.
This is also where we will see what type of coach Knoblauch is and if he can come up with some adjustments.
Those talking heads know who their audience is....All the rhetoric is meaningless. Series is 1-0 Florida
He's our Gretzky, me and you will never see this again. Lots of talk in this thread, every Florida fan is and should be horrified of what McDavid can do when hes at his best and you better believe he will be the rest of the series. He is a huge x factor. That guy is so good it's hard to imagine him not winning, but he needs to figure out how to score first. His zone entry and speed are tiers above everyone else. FLA loses that game 9.9 out of 10 times. Bob went god mode - otherwise FLA got outplayed in every aspect.
And how do you figure? Did they commit to winning by getting caved in for the majority of the game?
I agree, getting caved in for 80% of the game definitely doesn’t seem like committing to winning.
I suggest a namechange. nbwingsfan - McJesusDoNoWrongMcDavid is always at or near the top in ES scoring but sure.. he’s just a PP merchant
