As someone else said, it’s quicker for you to just say you didn’t watch the games rather than outting yourself like this

They really only had two, Nurse/Ceci.

Unfortunately when those two are together, they’re a one tandem game ruining pairing.

I have no idea why EDM coach would go back to them, there’s never a single positive that comes out of it
Sorry you couldn’t watch the game, was a good one

McDavid is an ATG, I think he knows whats required of him to win this series, I fully expect a signature performance in game 2 and the rest of the series, guy is simply too good, you think he knows his legacy isn't in the balance? Bob was awesome in Game 1, this is going 6 or 7.
Got to agree. McDavid knows for him to move into the tier with the all time greats he needs to lead his team to the Cup.

He is a huge x factor. That guy is so good it's hard to imagine him not winning, but he needs to figure out how to score first. His zone entry and speed are tiers above everyone else. He is just an all around amazing athlete and hockey player. He can change directions instantly. It's crazy how much better he is than everyone else. I saw people saying he was invisible, but he was very visible to me. Dude is a beast.

The Oilers were certainly out-goalied last night, however they weren't outplayed. Which means stick to the game-plan and hope some of the shots that could have gone in will go in. Aside from a reminder of where to shoot on Bobrovsky, there's not much they need to change.

Florida will probably make more adjustments, even though they won. They were mostly very good at containing McDavid, but repeating last night's formula will not produce the same results.

The Panthers demonstrated that they had a bigger desire when it came to the little details of the game than the majority of the Oilers. Every time the Oilers tried to forecheck, the Panthers had a forward, who was already back, in the way to break up the straight line towards the defenseman/puck. They were constantly interfering and stick checking and it was working because they weren't getting the regular season type penalties on them for doing so.

The Oilers did none of that, and allowed the Panthers to beat them down physically and do whatever they wanted to on their forecheck.

Bobrovsky played amazing no doubt but the Oilers need to be better with their locations of shots.

Draisaitl looked slow as f*** last night. I don't know if he's injured, tired, or something else, but he was not good.

Kane was also horrible. Looked slow, and was bailing out on making plays rather than taking the hit or giving the hit.

This is also where we will see what type of coach Knoblauch is and if he can come up with some adjustments.

I'm sticking to my Oilers in 5 prediction, with McDavid scoring double digit points.

Game 1 was always going to be a write-off regardless of who won, after such a ridiculously long break. I think game 2 is going to set the tone for the rest of the series. And I say Edmonton breaks through

The aim for tonight wasn’t to win the game.

The aim was to compete, to minimize the damage on the PK ( the refs will call a ridiculous amount of penalties against the Oilers) and to hammer Barkoff every chance they get.

Losing the game just means it's a best of 6, great place to be for the underdog.

Winning would have been gravy.

Imo the Oiler top guys need to score when they have the PP. They are just average at evens. They are dash players 5 on 5.

All of them. They won. No one remembers to losers.
McDavid is always at or near the top in ES scoring but sure.. he’s just a PP merchant

I know as a Canucks fan you’ve never actually seen it happen for your team, but sometimes on the way to the Cup a goalie will stonewall everything coming at him.

Maybe someday you’ll get to see it for your team

I think you really have to question is their coach is ready for these moments if he puts Ceci and Nurse back together.

How big of a sample do you need before you realize that pairing never, ever works?

He's our Gretzky, me and you will never see this again. Lots of talk in this thread, every Florida fan is and should be horrified of what McDavid can do when hes at his best and you better believe he will be the rest of the series.
