If winning game 1 of the Cup final isn't proving anything then what is losing game 1?Just facts. Florida is a great team, possibly elite, but they haven't proven it yet given that their first game against a legitimate cup contender this postseason looked the way it did tonight.
I think beating Vancouver was a nice series win for Edm.They had lost all 4 reg season meetings vs them prior to thatIt's hilarious, Florida's beat everyone there is to beat in the east. Tampa, New York, Carolina, Toronto, Boston. Meanwhile Edmonton's lone impressive series win in 4 years is vs Dallas

Pretty good?Bobrovsky was pretty good, but the Oilers missed so many opportunities. That's the kind of game that they should have won.
All they can do now is not take their foot off the gas. Keep swarming these Panthers! Bob will crack eventually!
He was no Dan Cloutier, but he made the stops when necessaryPretty good?
I'd say he was better than pretty good. Saved several breakaways and for the most part had great rebound controlHe was no Dan Cloutier, but he made the stops when necessary
Sorry I was being sarcastic, Mb it didn't translate well for you. Without knowing, it sounds like the jist was he was dominant.I'd say he was better than pretty good. Saved several breakaways and for the most part had great rebound control
It had nothing to do with him back checking, he just got caught too deep when Florida got control of the puck which caused the breakdownFirst goal could've been avoided if McJesus had properly back checked, but you don't get pts from that so he didn't turn on the jets. He only tries when the puck is on his stick or when he's in the offensive zone.
McDavid needs to be on the ice with the team's top 2 Dmen every shift, which limits their other optionsIt's a bit easier to swallow this one when you don't score. You tip your cap to the the other goalie who was the difference, and do it all over again for game 2.
Do they not have any options better than pairing up nurse and ceci? They can very well be the difference in a one goal game down the road in this series, and if game 1 was any indication, the margins are going to be tight.
Clearly the team that wins is all that matters. Watching Fla play shutdown D in the 3rd and keeping McDavid and Dri in check went a long way in equalizing who the better team wastsam as we all know, the better team doesn't always win. clearly the case tonight
No worries. Hard to tell sometimes. Plus it's late!Sorry I was being sarcastic, Mb it didn't translate well for you. Without knowing, it sounds like the jist was he was dominant.
Bobrovsky is in the top echelon of NHL goaltenders. earning every bit of that contractJust the first game, but it did not look like Skinner, a very good NHL goalie was in the same League as Bobrovsky
Bobrovsky stole the game, Oilers were better. Anyone with an opinion that makes money agreesClearly the team that wins is all that matters. Watching Fla play shutdown D in the 3rd and keeping McDavid and Dri in check went a long way in equalizing who the better team was

All the rhetoric is meaningless. Series is 1-0 FloridaBobrovsky is in the top echelon of NHL goaltenders. earning every bit of that contract

There's a reason for that my brother!Just the first game, but it did not look like Skinner, a very good NHL goalie was in the same League as Bobrovsky

You can’t be serious. The only reason the Oilers looked good in the first two periods was because they got away with absolute murder. Refs were on the Oilers side and they still couldn’t score.Gary’s game managers got what they wanted. Kozari is pumped. Can’t beat a good team and the refs.
63 hits. 60 percent face off wins, 21 blocks, 3 penalty kills, 7 more takeaways, 4 less giveaways, a 3-0 shutout where they scored 2 on 17 shots is enough to impress me but what the hell do I know eh?
Completely disagree. I counted 8 missed calls on Florida. Many slashes to the hands and interference. 3 missed calls on Oilers. You can’t be serious. too bad we didn't have a neutral party such as yourself calling the gameCompletely disagree. I counted 8 missed calls on Florida. Many slashes to the hands and interference. 3 missed calls on Oilers.
