Congrats to NYR,

Enjoy, all.

Thanks to Divine Intervention for the occasional break/helping hand.
(Hopefully we see You next week as well.)

Hopefully KIngs-Hawks will go triple OTs for 2 games, and be exhausted for next week.

Hope Rangers take it easy, conserve energy, 1 lite skate/timing drill til Wed.

I'm not really sure the Rangers need to conserve energy. The short shifts have all of our guys firing on all cylinders. It's sort of incredible.

We're apparently going to get rolled in the Finals, guys and gals, so temper your enthusiasm. We're going to be lucky to go five games with LA. Just thought I'd let you all know what I was told by everyone on the main board.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

This is the first series in a long time where I went from being pretty neutral towards a team to leaving it feeling hatred and disgust.

I am pretty sure folks said the same thing about Rangers vs. pens series.

I see I'm not the only one who figured out and thusly voted for every member of the team...

WHOOOOOOO!!!!!

I'm very happy for me as a fan, and fellow Rangers fans, but I am really happy for the post-1994 generation who finally get a chance to experience the highs and lows of a postseason run that is over a month old now, and will be two months old when it's all said and done.

My advice?

For the next two-three weeks, don't think about the future of the franchise. Dont think about draft picks, don't think about who was traded. Don't think about what other fans think. Don't think about jinxes and curses and history and superstitions.

Just enjoy the hockey, because in retrospect, you're going to wish you can relive all the great moments, and laugh off the tense ones.

I can tell you right now that 50pct of my time watching the 1994 playoffs was spent being a self-loathing Rangers fan.

I would say things like , "I dont deserve this" or "why do they keep doing this to me" or "I hate this team so much"

Kill that noise. It's just a game. Enjoy the ride and dont worry. It's OK to be nervous and anxious.

Just dont take to extreme levels.

Islander fan here. Congrats guys. Rangers really got on a roll at the right time. It's been a great playoffs all around always reminds me why this is the best sport. No matter who you face I see a great seven game final with a total toss up at the end. What we would not give to have a season like this but, as long as ownership remains it is not meant to be. Have fun and BTW

The Rangers Suck!

NEW YORK – Multiple Rangers had reason to look towards the heavens as the final seconds of the Eastern Conference final ticked away.

Their loved ones were looking straight back down, straight at them. Their gaze penetrating the vibrating roof of deafening Madison Square Garden. Toasting each other up above it all as New York City showered ear-piercing screams of adoration and admiration for what’s been accomplished despite all of life’s roadblocks.

I agree especially with the bolded. The Pens and Montreal didn't really bang away at the Rangers with the forecheck. The Flyers did a little but not as much as I expected and I don't think the Rangers D handle that pressure well.

Also, they'll create a LOT of traffic in front of HL. Once again, the Rangers don't do well clearing the crease or getting guys away from HL.

If LA makes it, the more they play deep in the Rangers zone, the more this series could be over quickly.

Yes, on paper, LAK should beat the NYR in 5, but the same was said about the Penguins.

That said, if I was a rangers fan, I'd be praying for a chicago win; the NYR match up much better against them than LA, as the LAK have massive firepower now, are a much more physical team than what the NYR have seen in the playoffs so far, and have a much better goalie than chicago. Plus I'm going to chicago in a month and would borrow a friend's NYR hat to wear just to razz my cousins if the NYR win it all (would never buy such a thing, of course, as a die-hard isles fan ;)

My only (small) complaint about the NYR knocking the Habs out is that we won't be seeing sara diamond sing the national anthem anymore this season, that's very disappointing. :D

Anyone still want to sign Vanek? What an embarrassment he was this series. He'll rue the day he turned down $50M from the Isles.

I'd like to commend the Montreal fans for being so gracious in this thread. You have gotten a bum rap here from some of our posters who would not have been so gracious if Montreal had won.

lol, how bitter are you?

Go read the Habs board and then come back here and crap on your fellow fans some more. :help::laugh:

Vanek may have sucked and you know what I am happy that piece of crap lost...He was good back 2006 with the Sabres

Anyways, does anyone remember that writer who said the Rangers were done?
And then fans started getting after him and he in turn wrote a article trying to defend himself

Ken Campbell? He routinely makes himself look dumb:

Season’s over for Rangers, now it’s time to look to the future

Rangers deserve credit, but they’ll lose Eastern Conference final

I know people are afraid of the kings -- but they allowed 51 goals in 19 games... Us on the other hand, only 39 in 19.

Don't get me wrong -- LA will not be a walk in the park. But I don't they'll beat us in 4 either.

The Rangers haven't gotten one of those one player carrying the team performances. MSL has had his moments. Nash scored 3 goals in the Montreal series. The Rangers need their big offensive players to show up. They need more. The games will be close. If the Rangers play LA,they need to buzz around the ice and create havoc. The Kings aren't a fast team. Montreal could skate. The Rangers speed gave Montreal problems.

my grandfather is looking to go to just one game and stubhub tickets are ridiculous, can anyone help put me in the right direction for as where to look? or if you are selling can you pm me

thanks

Dear Mighty and Fearful LA Kings, the true Gods of hockey, yee who stride like angels of forechecking amongst the weak and flatulent mortals of the East, we desperate and playoff-less rabble humbly supplicate ourselves so that yee may smite the all consuming Evil that haunts these rinks, the villainous and vile NY Rangers, the evil that fills us with impotent rage and makes our eyes brim with tears made of real tears. Hear our whine filled forum posts and rid us of this darkness that has stolen our dreams, our hopes and our brackets. This we humbly beseech thee.

Love, Devils fans everywhere.

The face on most tickets is 300 or above, even for STH.

They are going to be obscene on the secondary no matter what.

Either of the Kings and Hawks will be very tough but that's what should be expected no matter who the opponent is. What we need is some of Nash's millions of shots to actually start finding the back of the net.

Some kind of brief post or link to the come back the Rangers made against the Pens this year needs to be stickied in this forum forever. I'm sick of the negativity. They proved they want to win and will play with all their hearts. People need to remember that comeback!
