We know this already.Maillet played net.
Chartier is the 3rd goalie now & playing Jr B in Strathroy.
Answering the previous post that thought Chartier was in net.vs FlintWe know this already.
I’m ok with Moses on that line. I’d rather have a lower skill guy willing to get near the net and muck it up than a third higher-skilled guy running around the perimeter.
A lot of our so-called skill guys aren’t beating goalies when the tender has a clear view.
Similarly, I think that’s part of the problem with our PP. I compare it to London’s excellent 2024 PP, where at the Memorial Cup they had big Dickenson creating havoc in front of the net while the other guys picked their shot opportunities. That’s what Nolan Burke did a couple years ago, too.
Just a thought…
No, Moses not even close in size & skill, but it’s a role that could maximize his contribution to the team.So moses is being compared to dickenson or burke hahaha omg
London's pp was good because they had pp1 cowan barkey dickenson julian and bonk
We should have
Wainwright doucette fischer barr and karimov (your front of net guy)
They should play 1.5 minutes and then let younger guys lead by filak on second pp
Brown Dilorio filak kostuch and young that's how you can compare to London's pp1 but again we need dale hunter to coach that tho huge difference there
Pp1 needs to score so we can role lines to develop younger players. When it doesn't players like Edward's kostuch karimov don't get as much ice in 3rd for tight games that hurts their development.
We need to do something about this hate seeing karimov play 3 shifts in 3rd period and kostuch play 3 And Edwards 3
I agree on Karimov. I've said before he's really chaotic as a player. He works his tail off which is awesome. Has good skills. He just has a lot of bad MHL habits. No, Moses not even close in size & skill, but it’s a role that could maximize his contribution to the team.
Re Karimov, I’m personally not that crazy about him yet. Lots of talent, but I haven’t seen him mesh very well with any of the line combinations he’s been on. Lots of good solo skills, but his vision of what’s going on around him still needs to develop. I’m expecting that in the next month or so, the line experiments that are going on will be over and he will have a few weeks with the same guys, get used to playing with them, and have a breakout second half. Right now he’s not a good enough passer to work the PP.
my opinion only - I’m sure others might disagree

Trying to dangle everyone, not passing sometimes chasing in the DZ instead of staying on his side/staying with his man.
I imagine it's why he's L4 cause they want him to learn how to play in NA before getting significant minutes. Which is fair, but I'd still want him in the top 9. We saw in the 3rd period Sunday what he can do. He was flying and set up the tying goal. Letang seemed to notice it too as he played got more minutes in that period than the previous 2 periods + game combined lol.
He's gonna be a really good player I think. Just gonna take some time to learn the NA style.
Karimov very clearly has better skills & is more likely to produce, but he's more likely to leave his man open defensively, to have a bad turnover at the blue line, to get caught out for a long shift. So your saying moses brings more than Karimov too?
Hardly see moses as a 3rd line guy in this team IMO.
Pp has struggled as vets spread out and 16 year olds in key spots. Sure they will be but reaction time and ability to read and react is still lacking hence the 6% pp.
Barr is our best pp D but has yet to play it.
Wainwright has hardly been on it as well and he is out most composure no panic reactionary Offensive player. That's why I'm sure we are 6% as well.
When Brown plays a selfish game similar to karimov with less skill but more speed, I struggle to see why brown is locked on 1st pp unit?
We can beat the coaches alignment to death, we are not going to agree on personelle for pp. But for me an Playet moses getting 20 minutes a game is ridiculas just like Way playing pp last year just showing our coaches inability to know his players strengths.
What’s the odds daylen ends up with his little brother in North Bay by the end of the year?? NB can have 2 sets of brothers on the team lolKarimov very clearly has better skills & is more likely to produce, but he's more likely to leave his man open defensively, to have a bad turnover at the blue line, to get caught out for a long shift.
Those are things all coaches take very serious. I don't want Moses line 1 either & I think he'll be off it sooner than later, but while Karimov adjusts, Kostuch continues to catch up from missing camp/his illness & Franceschetti is out I'm ok with it, especially when 11/12/24 carried them to a W Sunday.
They aren’t brothers. What’s the odds daylen ends up with his little brother in North Bay by the end of the year?? NB can have 2 sets of brothers on the team lol
lol I can appreciate where the mistake came fromOops
