Schwindt, Kukumberg, Brown are the 3 LWs ahead. I'm fine with that. He's 16, just got traded for the 1st time has to learn new coach, system, structure, linemates etc.

I'm more than okay easing him in so he doesn't get overwhelmed which he looked to get a bit vs LDN going -4. Which is totally fine even expected.

I want the kids to play. A lot. But not to a point where their confidence gets obliterated going -4/-5 every night. Especially with the level of teams we play his first 2-3 weeks here.

Weather might be a good indication how this game is gonna go lol. What a mess out there. Didn't salt the side entrance either lmao. Somebody is eating it for sure.

Giving out little towels/flags too. I take it as mercy flags to waive when they make it 6-0

Team is playing with some anger tonight. Game might get real nasty. Omeri throwing his weight around. Like to see that.

Also maybe ppl got there wish?? No Haley on the bench.

Interesting period to say the least. Pretty chippy. I feel like we could see a few fights in the next two periods. Neither goal was great for Sudbury felt like Chartier could have had both. Need more of what we saw early in the period. Have to stay disciplined in a chippy game like this

Chartier has a few things to work on before I'm ready to say he's the goalie of the future though. Gets way to erratic, wild in the net. But in saying that this game definitely isn't on him. Astonishing how many SH BAs we give up on a gamely basis.

I will be fricken floored if they don't draft an import with a top 10 pick and keep Cajkovic. Floored.

Barr Hurt which fricken sucks. Blocked a shot in the mid section/arm area. Hopefully minor. One of the few bright spots this yr. Really enjoy watching him.

I would agree on not calling Chartier the goalie of the future yet. Has to be able to control his pushes across the net a little better. Saw it on the Goyette goal in the first. He pushed too far and opened up the blocker side

No shock with Letang, he never surprises. Maybe this game will be game.

Well they battled a lot harder tonight simply don't have the talent or experience to hang with a team like Sudbury. Thought 23-12-24 were great tonight but couldn't cash in.

Thought Kostuch & Hall had some decent chemistry & generated a fair bit. 5on5 the "vet" line was the best it's been in awhile.

But team D and special teams are a mess and it'll likely be their downfall most nights. Doesn't get any easier with Miss up next. Fully expect Martone & MacDonell to light us up Sunday. 5 back of Flint now.
 
I didn't like that the team wasn't able to stop the bleeding tonight. You're going to give up goals but you can't give up six unanswered goals in the span of 25 minutes. Especially when three of them come on breakaways or 2v0. Kostuch looked good in his limited minutes. Used his great speed on his goal. Was a nice shot right under the arm too. Had a nice read in the d-zone to pick off a pass in the third and almost got a breakaway but the d-man made a nice play. Also got into a battle in front of the net with Van Vliet late in the game and wouldn't back down. Top line looked like it was gaining some chemistry with Schwindt scoring twice. Tough to see Barr go down with an injury. Hopefully it's just short term but I wonder if we see Bridgewater come up for a few games if he is out for a bit

Thought wasnt horrible few standouts tonight schwindt is big body in front and handles rebounds really well and was rewarded tonight.
Kostuch scored his 1st as a strong and 2nd of year pretty cool was very energetic tonight in under 10 mins.
Thought young was all over ice and making horrible passes after horrible passes on breakout seen him give 12 a 4ft pass in front of our net just need the D coach bow to sort that out and the SH breakaways come on let's be aware if cant handle the pressure shouldn't be on pp.
Another standout was syrzika coming in 60 second left in 2nd and making a great pass save with 60 second left good for him.
Didn't see much of 93 and saw way too much of 11 25 and 9 but looks like that's how it is going to go for Letang going rest of season.

Thought 23 12 were solid again but think 24 gets in way with flow they would benefit with 15 or 20 (protection and experience) but Letang rather put guys together as a age chart.

Think 93 got benched after that pretty egregious TO on I believe SBYs 4th (?) Goal? He has a had habit of trying cute stuff in the wrong areas.

Young got caught trying to take on their entire team tonight. Played to emotional. I love 24s energy tho. Can see why they'd want his size energy with 12&23 but definitely next yr wanna see a guy with better hands, shot with them if they stick.

Just wish they didn't have this gauntlet of top teams lol. Make throwing Bridgewater or Maillet in a lot easier..don't want them coming in for a 8-1 drubbing.

Yeah thankfully the schedule lightens up a little bit after Sunday. 8 of their next 13 are against FLT (x3), ER (x2), WSR (x2), and OS. I wonder if that's when they plan on getting some of the guys on B cards to play. I feel like it might be possible that we see Maillet on Monday in Erie with two games in 24 hours and the rough stretch our goalies have been having lately
 
I really am a big fan of Barr. I think that kid has a really high ceiling. Took him a bit to get going but I'd argue he makes the least amount of mistakes on the team

Such great vision, anticipation & passing ability. Very composed under pressure which is big for a young Dman. I get the feeling he'll be a Dman one day that pushes for 20 goals with the way he can shoot it & how good he is at getting it thru which is an under the radar trait for a D. Has his +/- back to 0 which is so impressive for a 16 yr old on a bad team.

I think Hurt has had a strong set of games post Christmas, too. Not as offensively gifted as Barr but once he adds muscle he's gonna be laying dudes out. Not as high a ceiling as 16 IMO but I can definitely see 72 become just a complete rock top 4 Dman who can chip in a little. Which is perfect to put next to any of Barr, Fischer, Young who like to create.

Ugly right now but get a good D coach & some continuity behind the bench & I love how are D could look in the years ahead. Ton of upside & they all will be around 3-4 more seasons.

I really wish ykk ok y guys kept Leblancx2 they seemed like such a great fit when it works why touch it , return was good but it just seems odd:(

I dont see why handcuffing 12 and 23 for offense with 24.
24 would be great with 21 and 9
Think 12 and 23 need another offensive guy like 25 to make a scary line.

But it's Letang 9 is 20 so he thinks he needs minutes but why 3rd line in fine no chance Letang is that dumb cant see 9 has minimal offense can't, play where he belongs with Hands like 24.
That would be great checking line.

Anyway effort was there by alot last night just few mistake or or soft goals and would have made it closer game.
Dont think game score showed the real effort of the game.
STING played pretty solid alot of the game and pushed back while sudbury tried to bully us.
Just wish Letang would Give 23 and 12 someone to help them generate more.
I disagree with 12 in middle not using his speed for odd man rushes, cant focus in D deep in own zone then expect offense at same time that's tough for a kid to get up into ruah after supporting low in Dzone.
Someone less offensive would do well there. Still frustrated Letang isnt using guys in spots they can thrive.
Even 21 in middle he us defensive responsible as well
Really would also like to see Omeri get second PP unit while Barr out.
 
welcome back schwindt with few strength rebound goals, Boys effort was night and Day to London Game. That's good to see, sure this is tough few game stretch but scratching and clawing is needed to get by.
It Will be a tough Steelheads game too.
More and more kids games I'm liking.
But let's move 9 to 3rd line and get over the aGe thing Letang.and ride this last 28 games home with young guys seeing what it takes to compete game in game out. Set #9 up for success instead of making him play a role he has never played in entire career just isn't offensive, not a bad thing, we need grit and checking too. please Letang a few juggles and I do hope they gassed Haley, he just isn't a coach at this level. let's get a staff especially D specialist in here unless hard to get someone to work with Letang's Arrogance? But there is some hope after last nights effort score was indicative of the entire game.
