hard fought W - love to see it. Showed a lot of character on that 4min PK. Both goalies put on a clinic, it is evident why Leenders is so highly regarded for the upcoming draft.

Sting first pass on zone exits continues to drive me crazy but that is nothing new this year lol

Hats off to the boys. Great effort today. Team D was really strong and they backchecked extremely hard all day. Huge block by Way on Martone before the empty net goal.

Nice GWG for Omeri who low-key has a good shot. Loved the celly. How about Brown being out there late & making Martone look silly!

Surzycia was stellar. Definitely star #1. Fischer was awesome today vs that Martone line that's been so dominant. They were pretty quiet today, shockingly.

Safe travels to the boys to Erie. It's brutal out there.

Haley was back on bench

Interesting how refs no call on ice can go to replay for a missed call? Oh well mississauga refs tried but sting were solid today, found it funny the pp unit that scored a goal barely saw a pp after the goal. Lol
Seemed to be 1 player per line not on same page on breakouts today. sure would like to see 25 12 23 on a line looking to future may as well get chemistry this year, Way can go to 3rd where he belongs.
26 was solid today and glad to see omeri get more ice surely isn't a 7th D in my Eyes going to be a good D if gets those feet up to par. Good win against team aren't suppose to beat.
94 and 17 33 for Mississauga looked average today.

If Omeri can get his foot speed up a bit I think he'll be a really solid OHL Dman. Moves it well, battles, throws his weight around, has some decent offense to him

Just gets exposed by good skaters. Be a big summer for him upcoming.

Missed this one. Figures lol. Good to see the D tightened up and Surzycia had a big game. Expected to see a blow out score when I checked afterwards. Well done.

Went to the knights/attack game. Wow. It’s different going to a couple London games when you have no stake in the game. Very easy to see how/why they have the success they have year after year. It’s insane that teams like Saginaw made the moves they did, and by the end of the Western Conference finals, it’s going to be the team that made next to no moves that comes out on top. They are just so damn good and to think they’ll be even better next year without Hunter and company having to lift a finger in the off season. 3 potential years in a row to the West final in the works for them. It’s crazy. I’ll still give Saginaw some time to gel with all the changes, but it’s really hard to imagine anyone beating London in a playoff series this year. The way they have toyed with their opposition during this 12 game streak is the most dominating hockey I’ve seen in a while. Impressive to watch regardless of who you cheer for.

Didn't get to see the game today either but did watch the highlights. Awesome to get the victory against a good Mississauga team. Surzycia seemed like he played amazing today, stopping 33/34. Is he returning to the form that we saw early in the year? We'll see. Has to be the first time in a bit that we've won the special teams battle. They did a great job of getting into the eyes of Leenders on both of the goals on him. Way had a nice screen on the Fischer PP goal and Schwindt was in excellent position on the Omeri goal too. Excellent job by both d-man of getting their shots through and in a good spot. Nice to see Brown get the empty netter too. Good to see Letang trust the youth late with Brown, Fischer, and Hurt all out there in the final minutes. Let's go get another W in Erie!

There team cohesion is ridiculous. We saw it last year right. The talent level wasn't close between SAR & them. Didn't matter whatsoever. If 20 guys are all on the exact same page & playing as one it can take you all the way (obviously need some skill which they have.)

I don't understand why teams don't copy certain aspects of how they build teams. I know it's not as easy to say they took big Dman we take big Dman, but when has London EVER had small Dmen? Maybe they'll have one MAYBE two at most, but it's always filled with George/Edward/Maillioux/Harrington/Tinordi/Matta/Bouchard/Regula/Zadarov etc type D.

The top 6 is usually what carries them up front. Lethal. Always great speed, skill & grit. Always, always terrific on the PP/PK. Bottom 6 tends to be more physical/chippy.

Big, lanky, solid skating D who are competent with the puck and play mean when need be. We had a top 6 that almost all would've made an all star team last yr. But at this age how likely is it they will have faced such a D core? We got to see it last year. Sarnia was ridiculous at D. Never seen a Sting team so stingy. Gaudreau had 20 save nights every other game. We'll never see an easier series for a Sting goalie than RD2 vs Saginaw. Why? How many Jr players have come across a Dcore like 6'5 Del Mastro, 6'4 Mast, 6'2 Dillingham, 6'3 Fischer (+2 elite skaters in Kyrou/Ritchie) ? That's LDN EVERY year on D.

And while I can't stand these guys nobody ever has 4 scoring lines. So instead of worrying about their depth being offensively gifted they get & I say this with the most respect I can, idiots/guys who run around.

Drives ya nuts. Everyone hates them. But what's more effective? A decent/semi offensive 4th line who likely won't score much in 6-8 minutes of ice come playoffs or dudes who just run around, lay 3-4-5 big hits, piss off the other team in the same 6-8 minutes? You'll notice the latter more. Now I think they took it to a different level this yr with the Boulton' who legitimately don't provide anything else but u get my point.

I was sitting there Wednesday thinking about it. Every whistle 90% of there team gives an extra slash. Extra face wash. Extra cross check. Extra whatever. It's drilled into them. And Id LOVE it if my team was like that. Take no sh**, no backing down, no 2nd guessing. We'll have guys like that (Dillingham, Anderson types) but it isn't a team wide thing like Hunter always gets his team to be. It brings a certain confidence, sometimes arrogance to them but that's cause it's how they feel.

I'm hoping with how Seca built our D last year & then built this one (although it sucks cause of age) he's sort of along the same thinking. Hurt is gonna be a bruiser. Barr is 6'1", Fischer is 6'3", traded for Schneider 6'3", couple guys they drafted play mean/with an edge. Hopefully took some notes/lessons from the type of team they lost to last year. Hopefully.

(Can't believe I just typed a whole damn essay on how good London is & how great Hunter is. I need a drink. Or two or three.)

Confidence isn't overly high. 3in4, getting in late with the weather. Erie is a solid team who's rested & waiting

Just hope if Chartier starts he gives us a solid outing. Last effort vs Erie wasnt his best

Travel was last night I hear so good night sleep maybe light skate this morning and should have a similar effort as yesterday afternoon. Little confidence game beating a top east team goes along way with believing.
Still think Letang has alot to learn just isn't getting enough offense out of 25 23 12 put them together 24 and 9 aren't complimentary offensively just still think we could be getting more from 23 12 and 25 something to get alot more excited about.
Side note
21 wasn't good yesterday way too many turnovers hope he figures that north american game out ASAP has the tools missing a tool belt

Completely agree - Sarnia's D in the latter half of last year was such a treat to watch. Big, rangy D who control play, are strong skaters, and made great first passes. No surprise at all Del Mastro made the AHL ASG in his rookie pro season, I think he is going to be a fantastic NHLer.

London has (earned) the benefit of arguably being the premier 'program' in the CHL, where they are probably one of the only teams who can consistently get premier US talent to flip from US NTDP/NCAA commitments, because the kids know it's a pipeline to the NHL.

Talent aside, not many teams I've seen in major junior can get guys as bought into their system as the Knights and we are seeing them reap the benefits of that in their results.

Always a good sign when you go thru a period & can't think of one singular scoring chance 5on5. They are skating hard but Yeesh. Could not do a thing offensively. Crazy it's tied.

Love the big hit by Kostuch on 6'2" Hammond in the middle part of the period. He seems to be playing with some extra grit today. Believe he drew the penalty on the PPG, too. What a fricken save by Chartier in the final minute. Wow. He was terrific that period. Nice to see Schwindt producing & using that big frame as of late.

If Daviault is being ejected for the cross check that is the single worst call I have ever seen in my life.

Whatever injuries ailed Kukumberg have taken a significant toll on him. He's nowhere near the same player he was before them. Looks slow. Not engaging physically. Not generating anything. Sucks to see cause he was really blossoming into a solid 2way F I thought.

Chartier only reason this is a game. We've generated next to nothing today. Especially 5on5.

Benny robbed 23 on PP just dusted puck off rather than 1 timer, that's inexperience showing that's all.
Kai doing well again today with 2 big body goals.
We are getting out muscled and hit on rushes.

Chartier is one of the more interesting Sting goalies recently imo. He has refining to do, but he without a doubt possesses the skills/traits to be a good OHL goalie.

Big, very quick, good reflexes, great at puck handling, athletic. It'll really be up to him, the team goalie coach & his personal goalie coach in the summer to get him to be more composed/poised/calm under pressure in the net. That's far & away his biggest issue. Gets to wild.

If he gets better at that I think he will be our next starting goalie. Gonna have his bumps as we've seen, but games like this, Niagara, @ Barrie, @ Guelph give you optimism in his abilities.

Ugly game. 5on5 I'm honestly not sure Gaudreau made more then 1or2 challenging saves. Not a shock as this team obviously lacks offense but they can generate more than they did today.

Chartier far & away there best player. He was awesome. So least that's nice to see.

Managed to get 1 win this weekend which is frankly more than I anticipated.

26 more games.
